Lots of potential with a steep learning curve for that (possible) backcourt. 

Agree, looking like a very different squad than last season. Devries at Drake never had a team top 100 nationally in threes attempted, so last season may have been more making lemonade out of what we had, than a true style preference for him.

I do think you want shooters around a dynamic PG like Burton though, assuming we land him. Hopefully there's another wing shooter in the pipeline.

I think MSU targeting Thiam is very telling. I agree with whoever posted earlier, even if they can play 4 and 5, I doubt those two would want to occupy the same space.

Additionally, Fears and Carr are presumably making All-Big 10 caliber money, an Thiam and Sherrel are both widely assumed to be over the 4m mark. That would give you 4 players probably pushing 12m. Maybe they can do that but seems like a lot.

Where is the "Sherrell wants to be a 4" stuff coming from? He's 6-11, 255 and one of his best traits is shot blocking. I know he can shoot so I suppose could play some alongside another big, but he sure seems like a 5 to me.

He could be a 4 on the offensive end and cover the 5 on defense.

Offensively he can play with another big. He's a pick and pop guy in the half court and a trail shooter on the break.

Goodman doing Goodman things.  But as much fun as the last couple of hours have been, this one needs to get locked down. You have to get the PG in place and be able to point at that guy when you’re working other kids.

Fears is on a new NIL plan sponsored by the Nutcraker Ballet but also on a payment plan that each shot to the junk is -100K. That’s why they now can’t pay portal players the big bucks.
