Sent from my SM-S906U using BtownBanners mobile app We have to get a guy that fits our culture and style of play. An Alabama big likely does not fit our style of play, especially as a ten mpg backup -- Pringle was a featured guy for Bama -- he's not coming to be a backup. I'd prefer our Ukrainian friend who is a serious-minded 22 year old. thebigweave, Napleshoosier and Dhop 3 Quote

steubenhoosier Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 Mady Sissoko from MSU is still available. Big body. Decent defender. Averaged 15 mpg last year, down from 21 the year before. Don't think limited minutes would be an issue. Only has one year left, which fits. Improved his free throw shooting from in the 40% range his first two years, to 70% last year. Tons of experience in high level games. Knows the physicality of the B1G. Quote

Watching this little bit he shows a big body, physicality, ok post footwork and finishing with both hands. But, man, watch his lateral movement and tell me who he defends. Would like to see some games to see how exploitable he was. I’m with Btownqb in wanting a defensive presence at the rim and he doesn’t look like that at all. But a physical, skilled, experienced big who understands his role would always find a way to help. If this turns out to be the kid they want there’s logic to it. CSP, Stuhoo and thebigweave 3 Quote

Rice/Gallo/Cupps KC/Leal/Newton MM/Tucker MR/Goode Ballo/.... I'd go (big guy, big guy) to round out this roster if you do in fact get Goode. Leal, Newton, Cupps are non-rotational guards/perimeter guys is more than enough. Maybe you go with this kid, who does have some skill, and then get a defensive 5, too. I'm probably pro- that route.
