He was going to skip college and go to the G league. Tucker is not coming to IU to come off the bench. Of the players ranked 10-20 on 247 this past year, only 5/10 ended up being consistent starters throughout the year (Castle, Cadeau, McCain, Evans, Dillingham). Tucker is by no means a guaranteed starter, he is more of a developmental prospect than a ready made guy like McCain. HoosierDYT, Mike Wiemuth (iuinphilly) and str8baller 2 1 Quote

He didn't play a lot of AAU and not sure he even played HS last season. In the Mcdonald's workouts the last couple of days he's struggled. Not sure what he has been promised but it's not crazy to think he comes off the bench. Hoosierfanyuh, RaceToTheTop, SamIam and 3 others 6 Quote

I seem to remember he was playing but can't remember where off hand and too lazy to look it up. Seems really unlikely he'd be selected if what you post is accurate. Quote

My good man @IUc2016corrected me that he played at O'Connell. I knew he was at IMG but left. HoosierHoopster and IUc2016 2 Quote

HoosierFan1994 Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 IF I'm Indiana, I'm looking for a roster that has Galloway and Tucker coming off the bench. Unlikely, but that would tell me IU has a chance to be very good next year. Still HAVE to land a Point guard, a 3 point shooting guard, and a center. Chris007 1 Quote

I am not on social media but I hear he has some interesting IUBB followers. We need NGW to give us a thorough analysis on this. Wasn't NGW our resident social media analyzer? HoosierFan1994 Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 I hope this staff is not operating under the impression that there is only one starting spot available, point guard. Need to land 2-3 impactful players. Only sure thing starters should be Mgbako and Reneau. I saw the Center from Louisville is visiting in a few weeks. Would assume Perkins is too. Portal is just so different. In NBA/NFL free agency you have an idea who is out there. We still don't even know who else will go portaling. Cam Spencer chose UConn in June. Grant Nelson chose Alabama in late June. Just a few examples from teams still playing in the tournament. If there are truly 4-5 spots up for grabs, I think Perkins is a take. However, need a 2 guard that can shoot it next to him. No idea if the center from Louisville is a take. I assume he wants to start. I am fine with Tucker starting if he is physically ready. He seems like a very good pick up! Just don't know enough about him yet. If Tucker starts that means your 3-4-5 spots are covered. Need a center obviously for backup purposes even though they will see plenty of time. Quote
Stuhoo Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 For me? Sign Myles Rice and give him the keys for three years. outstanding player, and long-term culture builder. You cannot ask for anything more. 8bucks and IUc2016 2 Quote

I know it’s tongue in cheek but geez… We’re talking about second team all Big Ten and first team all Pac 12 point guards. These are excellent players and either would be real upgrades for the roster. I prefer to take some joy in the prospect of getting really good players to play for Indiana. Class of '66 Old Fart, cybergates, CSP and 12 others 15 Quote
