I like that Lamar has been in the Arkansas/TX region his whole life and CDD managed to pull him to Bloomington.  I know we paid him, but there was no prior connection to IU here, CDD had to create that.

Shock, denial, bargaining, pointing fingers at their insiders for getting this so wrong, and character assassination of Wilkerson ("he clearly is just in it for the money," "obviously he just wants to be THE guy and doesn't care about being on a winning team")

Maybe, just maybe, it was a bad choice taking the kid to Keeneland to get the stench of horse **** stuck so far up his nose he could smell it all the way back home to Arkansas.

Pope looked like a ******* goober with that Varsity jacket and sunglasses.  That would strike me as super phony if I was a recruit, personally.

Exactly and he didn’t convince him over zoom he flew out to see him. When’s the last time IU had a coach who was the face of the team and directly at the forefront of recruiting a player he wants???

We will see but in any case it looks like we have a lot of irons in the fire right now and I think we will end up with a decent/good team with a much better brand of offense.

EDIT: all of this is a guessing game but a very positive scenario would be that Livingston really wants to win and is delaying to see if it looks like we are going to land other talented guys. As always…who knows 

 

Like you said, who knows if the numbers are true. Didn’t mean for my post to come off as giving you flak yesterday I just genuinely didnt get the same impression from reading “tea leaves” … happy we have multiple irons in the fire and excited to find out who is next. I do just find it funny how after you posted this, it didn’t exactly take him 3 seconds, but within the hour? Haha… guess it was a pretty straightforward decision for him after all :) Pumped for the DDV era.

Didn’t Woodson make a last minute trip to see Boogy?   I could be mistaken.  I’m not a Woodson guy so just checking if my memory still holds up mainly.
