It’s February 18 and the earliest we’re likely to hear anything about our new coach officially is probably March 23 after the second round ends, with the portal opening March 24. This entire season has been a dud and with over a month to go, the only real entertainment value IUBB provides right now is sh!tposts on a message board. What’s done is done and we can’t change the past but this is the part of the year where I find the inaction last spring so frustrating. If we made the captain obvious move last offseason we’d probably be 1st in the B10 right now and have all sorts of actual basketball related things to discuss. Instead we have to toil away beating dead horses and hoping we’re pleasantly surprised. IU has conditioned us to expect the worst when it comes to basketball. I so hope this next hire changes that…

It’s a sad situation that we are in as IU fans!  This must be payback because we aren’t True Fans!

Omg, an hour went by without a new post. Bump

Woodson has already been fired. Do we really need to keep bumping this thread? I don’t see the point of it anymore.

who am I?

Bump, Fire Mike Woodson again!!!

Yep... Dolson should call Woodson into the office and tell him that he's reconsidered ... hire him back just so he can fire him again...

That actually would be classic, hilarious and not even cruel.  I would pay Dolson a crap ton of money, even though I don’t have it, to sit in his office and watch him do it!

I'm already over the coaching search forum. Cannot rehash the same thing over and over on the same coaches for five more weeks or more.

I am so glad that Dolson retired Woodson mid-season.  The tournament bubble is so weak this year, we could actually squeak in as a 10 or 11 seed.  Just like mediocre Mike to take a top 10 roster and barely make the tournament.  I was always fearful that Woodson's influential backers would say you can't fire a coach that made the NCAA Tournament 3 of 4 years.  I just couldn't take another year with Woodson underperforming with a talented roster.  My love for IU basketball was diminishing with each game.

Hearing all of them talk, they think that’s the ultimate goal!  Pathetic!

I’m with you brother.  It was McCollum for 29 pages and now his own thread but lately it’s been Cronin!  I don’t get into those discussions and they drag on but it did get a little interesting yesterday when Jerry Y posted.  I don’t mind joining into those conversations.

I guess he just didn't respect the process did he? Did he not know that this was the way we have done it from Ralph Flyold to Fred Glass.

I sure as heck that the next coach respects the process. I'm going to vote right now that you sit them down after being hired and let them know this is how IU athletics handles things and get them started in the right direction. We thank you for your service at this fine University

It’s probably just his reaction after being told he wouldn’t be coaching the Maryland game, as we were told was happening. Now, back to the process that you keep struggling to get a handle on. I’m just glad to be able to get you back on course when you invariably drive into the ditch. Feel like your own AAA.
