I’m a firm believer in people can get their lives right and deserve a 2nd chance. But that doesn’t mean taking over a historic blue blood program. Sure he wins. But so do a bunch of other coaches out there.  No need to go down the Beard road imo.

I’m sure Louisville and Kentucky vetted him too. And obviously passed.

All these posts speculating that a midseason change is coming ...

Such visceral reactions, wholly based on emotions.

In no way, shape or form does that follow the process.

Folks, it's a linear journey, with a rigid proscribed set of waypoints, leading, without exception, to a logical and predictable conclusion.

I have to wonder if something happened to the team internally right before the Iowa game. I thought the previous 3 games we played better and actually played hard in those games. It all disappeared in the Iowa and UI game

Ha. I don’t think it goes past May given his IU buyout he has with UM.

I am not being a ******, just asking...have we confirmed that report about his buyout is true? I have never seen that other than posts on this board....I believe it...just did not know if we had proof...

Drake coach is on it as well.  His agents have been contacted.

Sweet.  I'd love a great modern X's and O's coach.  Plug him into our NIL and let's go.

Just need Scott to make sure he translate to IU so we avoid an Archie situation.

It’s been a rollercoaster for 3+ years.  When your boss acts the way he does with recruiting and towards other people, it trickles down. Zero leadership from the boss. Zero on the team.  Throw millions of dollars at kids and it only gets worse when your leader is the way he is.

I’m not sure if there was a specific incident, but this team has zero heart.

I think the short list is Stevens, Brad Stevens, Brad Freakin Stevens, Dusty May. Then go from there

I have no inside info but I am concerned the Dusty May ship has sailed. Two possible explanations for our decision last offseason:

1. We passed on May because we were confident we had a big big catch lined up for when Woodson retired sometime in the next 1-3 seasons.

2. We passed on May because the powers that be actually thought Woodson was a better option than him to lead our program.

I want the truth to be #1... but that's not what my gut tells me
