First, you guys are hilarious. Reading the pages I missed on a long travel day is great.

I guess I missed the chance to drop the bomb that coaches were informed yesterday that Woody is being retired. Better to come from established sources so those on this board who question inside info so diligently wouldn’t have to post responses. Should be an announcement officially tomorrow. Told it was supposed to happen today, but Woody is being difficult about ending the season - and some of that has to do with getting the most out of his contract. This all follows several weeks of work by Dolson, and his witnessing a fight in the locker room that had to be broken up, with an assistant coach yelling at Woody “this is why they’re firing you!”

Want to watch the women’s game now, so will save some additional nuggets for later. But Dolson is retaining a search firm just to check the box, but we’re getting our guy. Numbers have been discussed. I’d expect that to be announced after the season right before the tourney starts. I’ll add more later. Sorry my travel didn’t spring this last night before it hit the media but had some family things going on.

Things are about to turn around for IU and our fans in a big big way. Alright, go Lady Hoosiers!

Welcome back how was your trip to Mars? Did you say hi to Marvin?

I don't care if it's rampant wild speculation, I'm like a pig in mud.

So the day after the Purdue game, Dolson gets on a flight to the same airport the Celtics charter from, and spends an hour there talking to Brad and his wife. Dolson flies home in time for the women's game vs. Nebraska the next day and Brad flies to Philly the next day for their game. That was Sunday. By Wednesday evening, rumblings started about the "forced" retirement.

So where’s that Lafayette to Hanscom flight either late Friday night or early/midday Saturday? Because there’s no way in hell an NBA GM is taking a non-work trip five days before the trade deadline.

Doubt Woodson has even communicated with them if I’m being brutally honest

That’s why I think they are celebrating

And what Woodson lackey is going to rip off 6 or seven wins to finish the season?

Prolly none... but that would be sweet karma

Last week I asked how much NBA GM make and someone shared a link of the highest GM’s in the league and Brad wasn’t in the top 18. I’ll try to find it tomorrow. I think it was Stuhoo.

Not me. I never researched how much NBA GMs make.

Not bad to have for a backup option.

That'd be more shocking than Beard. I figured he was set where he is, he's had a heck of a run at Zaga. In his 60s but dude can coach.

Also, $10 million living in Bloomington goes further than $10 million in Boston (if he was making that much money right now--which we know he is not).

Meh… $5-10 million a year goes really far anywhere. Yes; that $2 million Bloomington house costs  $5 million in Boston, but that’s an owned asset, not an expense. And a gallon of milk or gas is de minimus for a guy making millions.

QB overruled Dolson to hire him. QB overruled Dolson again last offseason when Dolson was ready to move on.  Woodson had BoT protection and $6mm this year to build a roster.

Thats all gone now. Dolson can finally do his job.

I'd have to say that QB strutted his stuff, and crapped his pants pretty epically... but Woodson pocketed $20M...the fan base is the real loser in this scenario.

Woodson had every opportunity to succeed here. Just got in his own way.  Really a shame.

that’s why this hire cannot be a risky one.  No up and comers like McCollum.  Need a proven college coach.
