I believe the plan is in place and just the people involved in the plan know about it and the motion will start when the timing is right.

So Woodson knows?  :)

I have no emotional connection to Woodson the player since I was way too young to remember him. I don't like Woodson the coach even a little bit so I'm perfectly fine with him getting booed and having to hear chants for him to be fired for the rest of the season. I'm also okay with the blowout losses piling up on his record. If these things don't get someone who "loves" IU to resign/retire in the best interest of the program, he's totally earned them and can reap his rewards for all I care.

He’s spent four seasons making a mockery of the position and all it entails, and he drove an enormous wedge in the fan base because he didn’t like the criticism he received for failing last season. He’s earned those boos.

So the Bosnian committed because of his relationship with the king. Does anyone honestly think the king isn't fighting for year 5? You are darn right he is and he has fergusons atm card.

Woody spent 5 million on this years team. One Bosnian kid isn’t making or breaking him here. Lol.

Does he know this is his last season? Yes

Does he know he might need to retire for medical reasons in a couple of weeks not sure

Well if it's his last season, then what is stopping him and/or the administration from announcing his retirement at the end of the season?  Seems like that is the path a least resistance.  Relaxes the fans and probably quiets Assembly Hall.    Allows the fans to move on and hit the "next coach" conversations.  A light at the end of the tunnel thing.

Personally I think we shouldn’t fire Woody mid season at this point. If we get thrashed through the end of the season the media will be on our side. Dickie V even tweeted after the northwestern game saying we were underachieving. Optics are better for making a change if we just let it burn imo. Not like we are saving this season putting Ya/Hunter in as interim.

Good question. I believe it was stated barring a final four run it would be it. But you know who thinks he can still make a final four?

The only way he's getting to the final four is by buying a ticket.

Hopefully for Woody the entrance to the game doesn't have a hump to get over....He still won''t make it!

It tells me ferguson and Woodson still have unlimited access to the cooks banking account and expect to be back. The king is too lazy to recruit normally but he certainly isn't doing it if he knows he is done

If the king knew it was over he would not still be buying players

2 things: 1) neither of us knows why he chose IU and this timing to commit. We can speculate, but we don’t know. What we do know is this: he’s not some 16yo who just hiked in from a village in East Bumphrey, Bosnia. He’s a 21yo professional basketball player and I guarantee you he made a decision with his eyes wide open and fully understanding the situation. 2) I really don’t know what you would expect to hear in that scenario. “I am incredibly excited to start this next chapter of my career and I look forward to getting here in June and going to work with Coach Stev……., uh, Coach Woodson and the staff.” Kid said exactly the right thing.

I guess but a new coach may have zero interest in him. He is the kings recruit and fergusons employee. I wonder how much they paid him. My guess is 700k at least. That king fully expects to be back.
