Fire Coach Woodson Thread

Again, how much is coming out of your pocket?

People get paid what the market is willing to pay them

Indiana has set the market. They have paid Woodson more than any team in the world would pay him. They also set the market on players too. We paid more than any other school was willing to pay for our players.

you have kids like Haralson and Mullins that took less to go elsewhere. We have ZERO players that were offered more by other teams but chose to come to IU anyways.

cam you just answer this question honestly, do you think Woodson is doing a good job?

Exactly... they spent $6M+ on mercenaries that don't know what IU basketball is supposed to be, to be led by someone who doesn't appear to remember or care what IU basketball is supposed to be so he can ignore recruiting kids who know and want to be a part of what IU basketball is supposed to be.
Disgusting on every level.
I'd love to ask the Scott's and Cooks how they are feeling about their six million dollar investment. Somebody (quinn) must have convinced they all Woodson needed was more money to buy win. Not build a roster just buy players because that's all he did

To me, it just comes down to the culture the head coach has put in place, whether they’re transfers, returners, or freshman.  Unfortunately, I fear that when a coaching change is made, it will have to be a big, well-known name capable of commanding the respect it’s going to take to revive this program’s now sorry reputation.
What does ballo care he got paid over bullion bucks and he knows Woodson doesn't have the balls to sit him more than a game or two. When you are paying a guy at the end of the bench 400k to stick up for you then you have lost all control and the players know it.. Not sure what Woodson rich boosters buddies would give him next year but if he is back I'm guessing it won't be enough to keep alot of these guys. They are only going to stay for a paycheck.

I watched the first half today and it's the first time I have watched in a good while. It's so god awful to watch. We have plenty of talent but there is no passion and we run the same stagnant offense. We should destroy teams like this by at least 30 but they let them hang around. Its unbelievable to me we beat Tennessee in that charity game this year. Seriously how did that even happen?

The real answer to this is that one of their best players stunk it up against us.

The same player single handedly outscored Baylor in the 1st half when they played in the regular season.

I don't normally discredit wins but that exhibition scrimmage had a fluke outcome IMO

Does anyone else think attendance is going to get really bad this year? After witnessing such an awesome football season, I think patience to watch a team that is completely phoning it in will not be super high.

I think so especially with the lack of weekend home games. Driving there and back from Indy on a weeknight to watch a team that doesn’t show any signs of life isn’t very appealing.

The upper balcony will be spotty until a bigger name program comes into Assembly Hall, then it will be normal.

But I think we’re currently seeing a major shift in the IU fan base where people are not happy at all with the direction of the program. The comments on the official Facebook and Twitter posts are 70-30 negative to positive.

And of course we can only be so lucky when the game doesn't really count.

Mike Woodson basketball is simply ugly, it’s Archie Miller basketball but with expensive athletes. 1-19 from 3 tonight, he sure did try to make it Archie ball.

I was about to post the same thing. All I’m reading now is negative comments.
