Fire Coach Woodson Thread

You may regret it. I’m older, fatter, grumpier, and have 3 kids, mix that with Woodson’s coaching, it’s a lethal combination ;)

Trying to get back to posting more, IU basketball will always be my number one sports team. Coaching and having 3 kiddos now just keeps me very busy and exhausted.

Please do buddy!  Get on back Jaybob!  We miss ya.

I think were past that point. The number has never been a problem. It's just about getting everyone in his family on board

Chris, I hope it works this time.  I won’t give up the thought of getting Stevens.  His dream is to coach at IU.  I still think it’s a match made in heaven for both sides.  Call me crazy but I still believe IU is going to get him.  I just really hope this time is the time.

UNC had fake classes and the NCAA didn't care.

That’s a subject that could add another 200 pages to this thread - and derail our mission to FIRE MIKE WOODSON!!

Cliff notes version: NCAA cared, but thought the accreditation board would take care of that. Once the board didn’t, NCAA was stuck. Everyone knew that the classes were bogus, but they were available to all students - not just athletes (although many attendees were football/basketball players). So the NCAA couldn’t rule it was a benefit that the players were getting above other students. And there are no bylaws for academic integrity.

UNC drug it out forever because they were willing to take the NCAA to court over it all. The NCAA wanted to hammer them, but they had to have something they could charge them with from the NCAA bylaws. And they had nothing.

Did I miss anything yesterday? I wasn’t about to read through all the Kathy comments

Just hoping those meetings that took place about how to get rid of him immediately are still gaining traction. Chris mentioned some things are getting worked out like who to get to be the interim coach, so I really hope it ends up going that route soon rather than an announcement of some sort that he’s finishing out the season and then retiring.
