Do you guys believe the athletic department had Woodson a d leal call out the fans or do you guys believe Woodson did that on his own? What do you guys believe he was trying to accomplish? I have been trying to figure this out since Sunday.

I have a hard time believing the AD would have wanted that. It went over really bad for the most part. Being that arrogant after beating a bunch of bad teams wasn’t a good look.

I had a knee replacement. I guess it’s considered elective. My surgery had to be coordinated with the surgeon’s schedule. Meanwhile, I was given extra painkillers to keep me comfortable. I was also given a schedule or timeframe for how soon I would be able to be back on my feet again. When I’d be able to walk. There is a possibility that his decision on timing wasn’t completely his. There also is a possibility that he wanted to make sure he finished his PT and was capable of being on the court when practice began

Unless I'm mistaken, you're not a well known (regionally) multimillionaire with powerful friends. Woodson is. I'm sure he could have had it done at a later date if he wanted.

I swear when he first took the job either on radio with fisch or somewhere he said you gotta win at indiana. Basically saying he understood the fans disappointment and he was going to get us where we need to be. So I am really surprised he doesn't understand the fans being negative. Did the NBA teams he coached fans shower him with love and praises when they sucked?

Pretty well known . That leals mother along with Galloways . Are members of a FB group that is die hard old school IU . Definitely pro Woody . They never have posted as far as I know . But that real fan , true fan and  chill .  Is straight from that page.   There was a very slight shift happening on those pages in the past couple weeks . In no  why saying that was the reason . But I found it interesting.

Yes he could have. That part was under his control, possibly.

The timeframe for rehab/recovery was not

Think he did it himself.  I'm sure the athletic department wasn't happy about and would prefer 'no comment' to being combative to the media and fans.

And why did we get nuked by those teams?

Because not only are we not as talented as those teams, we don’t have the same level of fundamentals of play that they do. That’s why Purdue can have Smith at point guard, and he be more successful than putting Cupps in the same position at IU..

"It wasn't my job to get Miller Kopp shots."  I would assert that freshman Jordan Hulls would have struggled under Woodson as well.  Hulls didn't develop ability to get off his own shot until year 3 and 4.  If you are a system player with a coach like Woodson, you are going to struggle.

Got to thinking.....Woodson's problems in terms of what he says is as much about what he doesn't say as what he does.  When he said "I'm not going anywhere" with the media, I kept waiting for the rest of the statement.  Same at senior day.

"I'm not going anywhere" comes off 100% at a poke at his critics.

Something like "I'm not going anywhere, I came back to return Indiana to the top and we are going to get there" comes off more as a 'I'm not quitting on this program and we are going to get it there'.  Whether or not that thought is true, it's about the team instead of himself.

Not sure he can change his ways, though. Gonna hope I'm wrong and it works out.

Why different now, he has one spot fully open and Trey more than willing to go to bench for the help he didn’t have this year. Trey was frustrated with lack of help. Not Woody. That is what he wanted changed.

Curious.  I have looked.  But what is the source for Trey being willing to give up his starting spot?

Yes, agents are all over the transfer portal players. They control where they go. Already been agents tell coaches they won’t send players to certain schools where the NIL didn’t come through. Agents also get new business from their clients being happy. Starting roles is a part of that.

So these agents are going to be telling their players:

"Hey stud, you should go play in the Ultra Modern Throwback Woodson Inside Out, Feed the Post, I'm not Responsible for Getting Players Shots, We Shoot Enough 3s, Offense."

We going to load up in the portal fellas.  Gonna be awesome.  Get that banner ready.

Now you are twisting my words. I said point blank he had no intentions of visiting. Ole Chris is the one said he was going to but Woody’s surgery.

Interesting thing to focus in on in that entire post. But I'm not twisting anyone's words b/c I don't know who said he visited or didn't. I put it in question form, b/c I didn't think he visited, but I wasn't entirely sure. The point of me asking wasn't to call anyone out for saying he did or didn't, but to say if he didn't visit, he simply didn't want to play for Woodson and Indiana.

After a good golf cart ride with a few kids and a few cold ones on this amazing day outside, I opened this app to sit back and relax. I love this place.

Sounds nice...but you stay in here too long and you're gonna end up with a golf cart DUI checked off your bucket list. You've already got a few in you...

And by “few kids” I meant “my kids”.

Simple question....if we had landed an Anthony Walker level player who was a shooting guard instead of a post, would IU have made the tournament?  I know it's kind of moot because we could have had both given that there was an open scholly, but even given the troubles we had that the difference between IU at least making the tournament and being where we are now was having an okay backup guard to come in as a starter when X went down as opposed to Cupps moving into the lineup and a combination of Gunn and Leal coming off the bench.

For reference, this is the most comparable player I see to the level that Anthony Walker was as a transfer (he was the 52nd rated PF transfer, played at a power 5 school where he was a starter in his career when Miami was struggled and then played a backup role later):

Julian Roper.  Transferred from Northwestern to Notre Dame.  Not a great player.  Plays decent defense, okay shooter -- had a great shooting year the year before transferring, came back down this year.  Good rebounder for a guard.  Not all world or anything, but I think a player like him was more needed to getting two bigs in the portal.

Absolutely HAMMERING the under.

Yea considering that dude ran off our only consistent source of information out of sheer frustration, I imagine it will slow down unless @Chris007 decides to reengage. Which I hope he does, but understand why he wouldn’t bother. He doesn’t gain anything by sharing info he gets, he’s just being kind to a bunch of desperate internet friends and fellow IUBB fanatics.

I’m gonna be aggressive, I don’t see this losing steam for awhile.

I think we hit 1000 by 8 p.m. Monday the 18th

IDK, That sounds like we won the BTT.  I'll say Saturday if we lose to PSU/Michigan or Nebraska.  :)
