If we didn't have post play, we'd have nothing.  We can focus on taking more 3s, but they can't hit water if they fell out of a boat.

That’s my point. We focus so much on post play it’s like we neglect everything else and therefore our play suffers

I think we all want that team or a good version of that team.

Love that team, too. But…. They folded when the media got in their heads about the Syracuse zone.

Uber disappointing.

That makes no sense.  CJ Gunn has a lot of issues, but he doesn’t turn the ball over.  Asking why Gunn got benched but X just saw a temporary decrease in minutes is a legitimate question.

Lighten up Francis.  At this point does it even matter.

What system is that?  We have zero outside shot.  Can't run a shooting system with guys that can't shoot.  And yes, it's on Woody to find guys that can shoot.  At this point, recruit the Hyper.

I think we have adequate shooters.  Our iso ball and heavy post style provides no rhythm for our players to shoot effectively or consistently.

Sorry, its not just the wins/losses or the roster.

This coach's/staff's overall approach to the game is not going to get it done.

Rebounding: D+, free throws: F, shot selection (from the scheme): D-, overall offensive scheme: C-, defense: D+. And some of these issues have been present and noticeable for all 3 years are are NOT being adequately addressed.

It's NOT just a talent problem. This isn't working and "better guards" isn't going to fix the structural issues.

Hate to say it but Woodson is failing.

Conclusion: there is enough evidence to conclude that this is not going to work as is and there has been no visible or tangible demonstration to date that needed adjustments are going to be made.

You don’t think things would be different with a few shooters out there?  They certainly would.  Post doesn’t have to pound it and work against double, triple teams.  Can pass out for a likely three.  Do you think Renue has confidence in the shooting to pass it out?  I wouldn’t.

That was on Crean’s game plan and in game adjustments!

Just zero evidence to support we have adequate shooters, let alone good shooters.  MM is about it.

I want Reneau shooting threes.  He's 41% on the year.  But we run nothing to get Reneau or Mgbako open looks.

Reneau is at 41%, Ware is 42%, Mgbako is at 33%, and Galloway had been shooting near 40% after his 3 for 22 start.  How's that?

Well the only thing I can figure is X’s punishment was to not start and since CJ doesn’t start, his punishment is to sit out.  A dumb move on both accounts because it’s not consistent but in Woodson’s eyes it was.

Naahh just ignore the fact that guys actually shoot at a good percentage, despite the complete lack of sets and plays to create space and move the ball inside out. So much easier just to blame players without actually looking at guys shooting or their efficiency.
and X is 39%

It's just another symptom of the overall problem... Woodson has no rhyme or reason for what it does, how he coaches or how he "disciplines". There are no consistent consequences...

I remain cautiously - very cautiously- encouraged by the return of “good” X and starting, and the effort, also reflected in Bako’s double double and the overall team fight that had the game close on the road against a strong Illini team (i feel dirty acknowledging that).
Going to be very difficult for this team to make the dance at this point, but it starts with an absolute must win against Iowa. Sure hope we get Ware back, boot off is good
