Or, if the entire coaching staff round tables and discusses their substitution patterns.
Wait, that what they already do?
Oh.
How do we know this for fact? Or is this a assumption because of what all coaching staffs do?

It is a given because that’s what staffs do unless the head coach is a massively egotistical jerk, which Woody is not.

Please give me a good reason to change my prediction from a 20 point loss to a 3 point win.  One that makes sense from a perspective of matchups, coaching style etc.  Not one because you want to better me in the Prediction Thread...

Is X playing or suited up?

Is IU going defend well against the quick passes and assists of Kansas' offense?

Is IU going to be successful with our bread and butter..going inside?

Is Gabe Cupps going to be able to hold his own against seasoned PGs?

Is IU going to get to the line often seeing as how that would not be typical for Kansas?

Rebounding and turnovers and well...

Up 12 early. What to do?

A. Sub in 4 bench players.

B. Stay the course.

I would prefer B.

GO HOOSIERS!!    Beat KU!!

Keep using the bench. The season is long and we have depth. We just need to develop the new players into accepted roles.

Hmmm.. season is long... So I wonder why other better teams don't care to play their guys a ton of minutes and we are here acting like we have 70 more games to play.

I think you have to have a bench but it doesn’t have to be 10 deep, especially if you don’t have the personal to be 10 deep. Also, his 1st unit and 2nd unit substitution pattern has to go.  He just needs to filter in 2 or 3 guys with the starters and Reneau or Ware needs to be on the floor and Trey Galloway has to stay on the floor for 38 + minutes because we have no guard depth until X returns, then at least one of them has to stay on the floor.
The bench guys I would play now is:
Walker, Banks, and Gunn (but only for short stints) and that is it!  Then once X returns, Cupps returns to Gunns role and Gunn rides the pine and only plays out of necessity if their is another injury or both Trey and X are in serious foul trouble.  Also, Sparks will only see the floor too if Ware and Reneau both are in serious foul trouble

Gotta sub with the flow of the game. Set subs is just absolutely goofy to me. If Ware is killing it, keep him in until he says he's tired. Bring in Sparks for 2-3 minutes and ask Ware if he's ready to go. Same Reneau. If Mgbako is on fire, no reason to sit him. If you want Banks in... Too bad. When Mack gets fired he can go in or he can go in for Reneau or Ware and play the 4. This is where Woody doesn't understand the college game.

Oh.

So it's all the coaches faults, not just Woody?  That's even worse

Hopefully B. Stagger in subs if needed. If we look at Kansas’ minute distribution, 90% of the minutes are played by their starters. If A happens, we shouldn’t be surprised if some groans from the crowd are let out. Our 2nd unit isn’t good enough to to be playing significant minutes together in a game like this.
