Really?? What do you drink for beverages? What is your just sitting around beverage? I don't drink them much anymore but killed them as a kid. My 17 year old has never had a coke but has the occasional sprite

I'm on a big Sprite kick right now. No clue why. Sprite or Starry.

I can for sure say the Coke deal is done. My brother has negotiated with IU for Pepsi the last two times. Pepsi offered more money over 4 years but Coke offered more money upfront. They went with Coke both times. This last time they told Pepsi they were staying with Coke before even hearing Pepsi's offer. Then after hearing it, still said they were staying with Coke. Said they were going to do the same with Adidas.

I don’t think it’s the same for Adidas.  But I did hear one or both have the right to match any offer I believe.  Not sure what the stranglehold is with Coke as per my understanding they have not lived up to the contract on multiple occasions.

Water, Gatorade, Busch Light, and some sweet tea. Whiskey sours go down pretty well.

Expectations not being met? Well Indiana does love that.

IKR.  I know coming out of Covid they had tons of issues with deliveries to the student food areas.  There are other things I won’t mention but there is a population at IU from a service perspective that would love to move away from Coke.

What’s interesting with Adidas is I talked to someone the other day that is involved with a lot of purchasing and they were like Adidas is fine.  I started naming off issues like quality and overall offerings.  Noted how Homefield apparel has way better selection like their awesome bomber jacket and gave examples of things Nike/Jordan has like real stitched on jerseys.  They had their eyes opened a little but I suspect quite a few others are in the same boat.

Well if you don't actually care to look at the competition or listen to fans, you get Adidas.

I'm ready to get back to Cig, but I'm hopping in to say the new Pepsi zero formula is unbelievably good.

To bring it back to him, does CCC prefer Coke or Pepsi? Someone needs to be asking these hard hitting questions.

Give me a D. Pepsi. I started drinking diet drinks when I was 16. It helped me lose around 25 pounds

There was a conversation a while back where a poster said Disneyworld didn’t become Disneyworld by simply saying “eh good enough”. Big businesses would call this cultural rot. Interesting to read show dog or watch the “Air” movie about Nike and their “10 principles” out of those that IU has never read lmao:

#1. Our business is change

#4. This is as much about battle as about business

#5 stretch the possible

#6 dangers: Burracracy, knowing our weaknesses

I like Coke better than Pepsi, but weirdly I prefer Pepsi zero over Coke Zero.

Dew is king.

Mountain Dew seems to be a midwestern thing especially Indiana and Kentucky. I don't drink much soda these days, but when I do I prefer Coke (or C. Zero) and RC over Pepsi by a mile. I also prefer Squirt and Dr. Pepper over the other non cola sodas. Younger people definitely do not drink soda at all and when they do it's Sprite or Root Beer (stuff with no caffeine), although I never really understood that, the caffeine is the least concerning part of pop. But kinda like smoking back in the day, a lot of people did and didn't think much of it. Some people that's all they would (or still) drink. As a kid I would pound a lot of 16 oz returnable bottles. Nowadays if I do drink it, it's when I am hungover or at the movies w/popcorn.  But I've always drank a lot of water and still do. Soda is purely empty calories.

Rumor has it they’re replacing the giant flag pole in Memorial Stadium with a huge cigarette that lights up and releases smoke every time the Hoosiers score a touchdown.

Regular smoke or the more fun "wacky" variety?
