Ok I looked this up because I had never thought about it. Apparently it’s simply directly related to going nuts like an ape does and then just adding s**t to the end of it because that’s what we (English speakers) do. Bats**t, bulls**t, horses**t, ya dig?

If he can be as good as Mallory we will have done well. Hopefully, Cigs can be even better but good to remember that Mallory went winless his first year.

Allen seemed to go after bigger targets at the receivers, it seems that the new staff is going for speed which is something IU teams have lacked for years

That was my favorite IU game I've ever been to, with the Ohio State game that year being a fairly close second.  I loved the team that year and I honestly thought they were maybe going to get that elusive big win at the end of regulation against Michigan.  Just needed a stop on 4th and goal.  That team could have easily been 8-4 with wins over a top-15 Michigan team and a 12-win Western KY team coached by Jeff Brohm, and also played #1 Ohio State to the final play of the game.  The potential is there and I also am hopeful CCC can bring that level of excitement back.

That could have been a special year.  Top 15 offense, but literally one of the worst defenses in the country.
