FWIW, one of the ranked long snappers on that list is in a class I teach.  Great kid.  I can tell you that people would be impressed with how much work that the ranked long snappers have to put in get the accolades.  For most of them, long snapping is all they do for their team.  Kid in my class has been at tons of long snapping camps.  Snapped for us for four years and never had a bad snap in that time.

An elite long snapper is worth every cent of their scholarship. You never really think about IU’s and it’s because he is Elite with a capital E.

I understand that CTA and company offered him a scholarship. CCC did not. I was just pointing out that a lot of the players on that list were not offered scholarships, just walk-on positions.

10-4. Misunderstood your post!

College football has become the Wild West. No rules, no guidelines no cents. The monies, arrogance, and b.s. have made it worse than the PRO's. I hope college football figures out a way to straighten this out because I find it sickening.

Yeah, I was looking at the headlines for all the players entering the portal and those "opting out" of the bowl games and it is really sad. Of course there are way too many bowls, but still some teams will have skeleton crews playing because of the new normal. The aspects that make college football unique are mostly gone. Rivalries are a thing of the past for a chunk of the country. Instead we get Stanford playing Wake Forrest in a conference game. Yay. I still watch, but I don't care nearly as much as I used to. Apathy is the most dangerous thing for any product (ask Disney!) I wonder how prevelant that attitiude is becoming about NCAA football?

I’m into it more now than ever, personally. It’s become my favorite sport. IUFB stinks so I don’t mind all the money and the transfers, etc. I just sit back and enjoy the games. The new playoff is going to make it even better.

Yeah I don’t see him staying after seeing the success Penix has had after leaving.  I’m. It sure Michigan is the right place for him as they rely on the run way more than the pass.  But he also has two IU guys that love it up there after transferring so I could see him ending up there for sure.

For sure gone but good for him. He was the only dude on our roster with legitimate NFL abilities. He can get noticed at Michigan or really anywhere else. Was the only guy I didn't want to lose though.

Seems to me that Michigan uses their TEs more than their WRs?

He's the only player I'll really be disappointed is gone when he leaves. Can't blame him, though.

It makes complete sense.  Does he want to be part of a big time program or a total rebuild?  It’s a no brainer decision after three(?) years of IU football.

I'm not sure if they do or not but McCulley could be successful really anywhere with his size and athleticism. He tightens up his route running and he's going in first 3 rounds.

Yep, he stuck around a losing program for 3 years. Time to move up, put up big numbers at a big program, and get drafted.
