Game Thread: IU vs FGCU - 11/7 @ 6:30 on BTN

For the first game of the year I'll take one for the team and start us off.

They only lost one player from last years team to the portal I think. We should expect to see a pretty experienced team/older guys. Chambers second year there. Think this will definitely be more of a test than the exhibition games but would be great to see a dominating performance from our Hoooooosiers. Pumped the season is about to officially start.

FGCU men's basketball returns 11 players.  They are picked preseason coaches poll as 2nd in the ASUN.  Also, Isaiah Thompson, 5th year player, picked all conference...  Thompson named Preseason All-ASUN, Eagles earn high poll marks - FGCU Athletics .  He is a smart baller.

Head Coach Pat Chambers enters his 2nd year at FGCU.  Previously was HC at Penn State and Boston U.  Last year FGCU went 17-15.  But pay attention here, they beat USC on November 7, 2022 at USC. Thompson scored all of his 16 points in the 2nd half.  This is a really good pre-conference test at the very start of this season.

Not too bad..... That puts him at the very end of November, first part of December if all works out. Maybe he comes back sooner, but I wouldn't want to rush him back too soon.
