I get your point but the reason that we don't have any recent examples is either because we don't have to ability to spot up and coming talented coaches or if we do, we ask if they are interested and they say no thanks! I haven't seen any indication that we can expect IU to bring in someone better than Allen if they choose to fire him!

You gotta be Tom’s agent or something. “Cmon Scott. Do you reeeeally think you can do better than a coach who loses 37-3 to Maryland?”

I just don’t see how we can dump him with a $20 million buyout.

Sure, it can be negotiated down some. But still.

There are a lot of very wealthy donors to IU athletics.

Do we think the money is the issue, or Dolson refusing to make the calls?

Have to think if he needed the money, he could make it happen, especially if he had a clear plan and legitimate targets/candidates to go after.

I'd love to see him gone, I just have no confidence in those hiring our coaches!

The big donors won't want to waste their money on football because they don't care enough about it

I think that’s a helluva lot of money, and that while we have wealthy donors, they didn’t become wealthy by throwing large sums at lost causes.
