maharkn Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Hopefully the option portion of the playbook is thrown in the trash, Lucas is moved out of the back feels and into the slot, and turner/ Henderson becomes the full time running backsSent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk thebigweave, DChoosier and Loaded Chicken Sandwich 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 @Hovadipo your speculation on what changes we'll see recognizing just 2 weeks for Carey to work with. Quote
TTT Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Sure, there were some decent good seasons though few and far between….it took over a 100 years to get here and it definitely will take more than a few games to get out of here. Quote

Probably won’t be a whole lot of change schematically. With Carey’s background, I would guess they’ll try to establish the run with Turner and hopefully Henderson. They can definitely install some new stuff with the bye week, but it won’t be a huge, obvious change imo. We should see better situational awareness and you have to think we’ll pack the option stuff on Walt’s Greyhound bus. thebigweave and Class of '66 Old Fart 1 1 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I read a story last year claiming "inside knowledge" of the program. I think it was by Tom Brew, who's kind of a doofus, but has been around a long time -- so you can take it for what it's worth. Regardless, his story claimed the players were pretty much 100% behind Tuttle as QB last year, but Bell was insistent on starting Bazelak -- and that created tension among the ranks. To me -- neither seemed worth a crap, though Tuttle seemed to be injured a good bit of the time he was at IU. thebigweave and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote

TTT Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 QB’s have injuries in many programs…however to the extent IU has qb injuries especially extending to last few years…. with exception of this year (except D.W.) (makes it hard to recruit a qb talent and keep him)….lacking offensive line and play making receivers running backs, skill positions, basically need over haul everywhere especially offense ….which is a direct result of unqualified and low ability coaching…which is the result of decision makers putting them in these positions to begin with.
