It's possible that Reibe and Mullins are tight now, but there are obviously so many moving parts.

The flip is also true.  If Mullins chooses UConn, I would think there’s a good chance Reibe goes there too.  IU has done a really good job with both of these recruits.  We’ll see if it pays off in the end.

Indiana’s Mike Woodson and an assistant are in today for five-star senior Eric Reibe, he told@Stockrisers. When we reported Woodson would be in a few days ago, Reibe hadn’t cut down to five yet, now he has. Every meeting counts.

I guess I don't get the forum thing. Seems like you could look at this thread for real info instead of a few people entertaining themselves with zero info and nothing but BS.  People just entertaining the few. I would prefer actual talk and the players and the chance of IU getting them to commit.

If you can find a forum where people know the precise chance of them coming to IU, you might want to hit them up for stock tips too.

Really funny first couple of posts on a forum you signed up for lol. I get the sentiment about sometimes just wanting to see news. Forums aren’t the best place for that. Just keep an eye on news outlets. When it comes to recruiting, actual news is few and far between. The rest of the time is like fishing… waiting patiently. Having a sense of humor can help pass the time. Come basketball season, there’s plenty of actual sports talk around here.

Portal bigs are better anyways. Still think we have a chance with Reibe despite Branham’s talk, we made our last pitch yesterday, and the 247 Kansas site doesn’t seem to reflect that they’re truly in it

I honestly like the portal much more. Indiana is in a weird spot with recruiting.  Because even if we got Reibe I don’t love him as our day 1 starter. But if we spend starter money to get him.  But, maybe he could be.  Tough.

I believe it's primarily a talent and fit assessment exercise.

Really understanding which players are the right fit for the team culture and have a skill set that can translate to on-court success fairly quickly is the ultimate goal.

And if it's a younger player, it's also necessary to understand whether they will stick with the process and develop at IU long enough to affect winning. If a younger player can do that it's an even bigger win because they can help with culture and continuity.
