The Daily Hoosier is reporting he's likely (not for sure) going to be in Bloomington as soon as this weekend, but that it hasn't been announced yet.

This is Easter weekend which may affect some scheduling of visits.

I have a lot of concerns how this kid would take Woody's style of coaching and as much as I hate to say it, how would he take the backlash from some of the fanbase when things aren't going well? You've gotta have some thick skin to play ball here.

Obviously the talent is there but I'll admit I'd prefer Shedrick if that's still a realistic option.

I actually want this guy, he would fit well in Race Thompson’s old roll but a much better upgrade

Hope it does. Celebrating the Savior is infinitely more important than collegiate basketball. And if you’re not religious, spending time together with your entire family in joy is as well

You are welcome to come spend time with my family.  They just picked a fight with my wife because we got a new dog.  Idk how big the DSM would be if doctors studied them

Miiiiight wanna get back on topic here

  • Not usually a good idea to have extensive discussions of religious affiliations or level of observance
  • Never know when your spouse or dog reads the board and finds that the dog may not be wanted [lol], and finally,
  • It's the Kel'el Ware thread

I agree those other topics were Waring a little thin, he needs to be the center of our talks today. Plus he would look better in red then green

Not just any red but crimson. Arkansas has a shade of red as their color too

A few hours ago I agreed with you, but then I watched that 3 min highlight video of Ware and now I am an expert on him. He'll be great!

IF IU can pick-up a #1 scoring threat at the 2 or 3 then Shedrick is fine, but boy, sure seems like Ware is someone other teams would have to plan around. Legit 7 footer with nice touch and solid looking 3pt shot? We're painfuly aware of what happens when your main scoring threat is neutralized and no one else can pick up the slack. It would be cool for IU to be one of those (very few) teams that has 4-5 guys scoring 10-15pts regularly.

As someone else said- offensively Ware could be more perimeter oriented and Reneau could post up. Lots of options.

Wherever he goes, I applaud him for wanting to stay in college. ESPN has him at #35 on their draft boards. Most freshmen jump at that and leave.
Agree. Seems to be some self-awareness there. That's a pretty good character trait in a young man.

Kel'el = Kahlil? Pronunciation wise?

I was wondering this too so I listened to his highlight package. Seems like it's pronounced how it's spelled. Rhymes with bell.

It would be nice to have a team with 4 or 5 averaging in double figures.  A lot of the good IU teams that were National Champions or Big Ten Champions, always seem to have balanced scoring with 4 or 5 guys averaging double figures.  That’s what CMW should try to focus building his team on and the wing players leading us in scoring, not the center.
