This seems promising.  About every other fanbase that needs a big is hoping for Ware or Dickinson, so that alone is nice.

I mentioned the other day, that he and Sparks would be very complimentary of each other in the coach having the option to play different ways.

I admittedly haven't watched much of Ware. Would he be able to play the 4? Mostly asking from a defensive perspective? I know he has an outside shot offensively but does he do anything else that would allow him to slide to the 4 at times?

He would play the taller, skinnier, more mobile guy. Reneau/Sparks would play the more stout guy. that can vary by opponent. So it depends on what the other team has at the 4/5.

That was kind of where I was going with my question. Could we envision a MR/KW lineup where MR is actually playing the more post-centric position?

And I get matchups determine a lot of things. I didn't think MR was terrible guarding away from the paint but I also didn't think he was particularly great doing that against quicker/more athletic 4's either.

He can be a rim protector with his length/strong side or weak side.  He's a pretty good shot blocker.  He's thin and can be pushed around a bit in 1v1s with bigger stronger guys.  But he should be the rim protecting big ideally.  As far as offense.  He can play like a 4 at times.  he's mobile.  Good pick and roll lob threat.  He's not afraid to shoot it but that's not his strength.

Sure.

Take the past year’s Northwestern team. I would expect Reneau to guard Nicholson and Ware to guard Beran.

Would really like to add Ware and a Ledlum or Battle to the front court. Ware appears to be able to play alongside Reneau or Sparks. My only concern would be to have Ledlum or Battle playing primarily as the 3. I'm not sure if we'd have the quickness to do as much on defense. Although, if Ware can play off a 4 or 5 on defense to provide help it might work.

Either way this turns out I have my posts all typed out and ready to go!

When recruits arrive for the visit, do they always get to play with our current players?

idk about always.. I know TKR played some one on one with TJD and Brunk, for example. I'm guessing Ware is getting some run right now with our dudes?

He played the 3 this year. If you have a Ledlum on the court, as well... you can give either one the label as 3/4 who cares. But they can absolutely co exist on the floor together... with an XJ, TG, and Ware for example. That's a great lineup, imo.

Yes, Banks has to take a step... but nothing overly, out of the ordinary to help us in a big way next year. And obviously beyond that.
