Staff was saying it's not likely for tomorrow but a fan did see him last night in Vegas and JHS said he was good to go. So we'll see. I think they error on the side of caution and save him up for Kansas. That would be a full two weeks of rest

I just wonder, if he can go, how effective he will be.

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere already but crazy to think we've never once played AZ. Should be a great game

Bravo to coach Lloyd and coach Woodson for getting this together. This is what this program should be doing. Win or lose this will help this team. It's important not to get too high or too low off this game. I just want them to compete and play hard for 40 minutes. I'd rather lose a hard fought game in December than in March.

I'd say if it's up to JHS he's going to play. Pretty sure in Vegas, Prime-Time against a top 10 opponent..........he wants to be a part of that spotlight.

I just don't see them winning without him. He does so much. Me and a few buddies do a things where we add up points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and subtract the turnovers each game and rank the top 3. Trayce has been in the top 3 seven times. Next is Jalen with 6. The next closest is a few players with 3.

Such a huge game. I think Arizona is legitimately top 10 talented. 2 dominant bigs and a PG that knows what he’s looking for. A heralded SG. Excellent coach?!? (Maybe)

TJD is our monster and our advantage. If he gets negated here, do we have others to turn to? Both teams play similarly but Arizona looks like the slightly better version of us. Neutral court gives me hope. Need Race to put on his big boy pants or Reneau to be up for the task on defense. X not to force.

This one is a test. Let’s see what we got.

One area where Arizona is not our equal is on turnovers.

IU is 46th best at avoiding turnovers and 89th best at forcing them;  Arizona is 199th in turning it over and 343rd in forcing turnovers.

Yep - from their tempo, it's the fastest in the country.

We actually stack up pretty well against them, at least with JHS in -- their eFG% is relatively low (103rd) to our guys, 5th in country (tempo free). You can see the Gonzaga-type stamp on them from Lloyd. Our D has a chance to throw them off their game, but again JHS has been a key part of that.

The flip side (from eFG%) is much closer, at 42.7 Def eFG% we're at 14th in the country, AZ is 1st, at 61.3.

On paper anyway we win that battle. Do think we stack up better than some think

I agree, JHS is key to a few things. I saw/read he was practicing. Is it confirmed he's all good to go?

And on the stats...

No there's no confirmation out there, we'll all be watching who's warming up lol. If I had to bet I'd say he's still out, but that's not stopping me from hoping -- Do think he'd make a significant difference in this game, AZ brings offense all across the floor and they run like gazelles. Btw Kenpom has us a 1-point favorite in this game iirc
