We have 5 more games to endure?  Have not followed as much but I felt that surely we were about done with the year considering how bad most feel about the program.

What does this even mean? Is it a good thing to bring in $34M more than we spend? I understand the need for some kind of "reserves", but if we have this kind of excess from donation, ticket sales, whatever, shouldn't we be ashamed of the state of the football facilities?

And I am sure there's a rule somewhere about using this cash to cover the over-inflated buyout for a failure of a football coach. Maybe we fire Dolson, as well, for giving CTA this kind of ridiculous golden parachute after only a decent season or two... Between Glass and him, they did the same thing with Archie... and it constantly leaves IU athletics in a bad spot...

Hmm, you would willingly hit him with your car but you're questioning another's morals? Interesting.

Kevin Wilson sucked as a coach and probably isn't a good person. Tom Allen sucks as a coach and doesn't seem like a good person with his willingness to throw everyone under the bus instead of being accountable for the team he's in charge of.

I know where to draw the line w my morals. Sexual assault is right there, along w assault and abuse of minors

Let him go. I expect when Allen isn't fired at the end of the season there will be a mass exodus.

Oh, don't worry; he'll just bring in a bunch of JUCO guys and benchwarmers from the portal, like always.  And then have yet another quarterback struggle as the team goes 1-11.

It got embarrassing around the time it took 4 OTs to beat Akron.

To add, the Akron team we needed 4 OTs to beat has won 1 game this year and gave up 55 points to Northern Illinois.

Think I should have put that in a sarcasm font. He needs to be gone, yesterday. Will do more harm by keeping him around.

I just hope they will actually conduct a serious search and be willing to pay what it takes to make serious hire. Not going to be an easy, but surely someone out there can be identified that wants to coach that is falling backwards from their current position or identify a younger coach looking for his first HC job. Not sure there's other options unless they overpay someone to take the job which doesn't seem like the university's style

Nope... they won't overpay a coach to coach, but they will handcuff themselves with obscene buyouts on undeserved contract extensions... it's enough to make you sick... why isn't it enough to make you stop, Scotty boy?

Tom Allen is overpaid but that was after the extension. They hire cheap and go cheap on assistant coaches.

Ok, but he DID say that the guy they chose for today was the guy for the rest of the year. Tom is not a serious person.

He’s so soft. He’s a terrible leader. And he’s a deeply unserious person. If results were bad, but none of the above were true, maybe it’s a different story. But there is not one single redeeming quality you want in a head coach being displayed by ours. We’ll see how serious of a person Dolson is.

It wouldn't be fun for Dolson to go to donors and asked to be bailed out of his screw up to the tune of 20m.

I know it wouldn't be at once and a next job would be deducted (I think) but that's still a pretty hefty sum.

Something definitely has to change. Look how things have changed for the good with IU BB since Miller was fired and Woodson took over. IU can’t afford to continually lose games with way things are going now. There are too many factors going against this IU program with each loss. We are most likely going to lose some of our best players to the portal next season if we continue this tailspin. It just needs to happen and money needs to be found.
