As long as we stick with Boogie, we're good!  For those who don't know, the Cuban sandwich was invented in Ybor City Tampa.  Them East Coasters just try to claim it.  

But since they're so proud, I asked Boogie himself.  His quote to me:  "I'm original, and I love the original authentic Tampa Cuban Sandwich"  There you go, end of debate

I have been reading but just don’t want the comments. I will make a quick post and probably dip again. Don’t want to argue how the Rabby’s of the world walk on water and logic doesn’t make sense. 

With what I have read, many miss remember a lot of these recruitments and clouds feelings on future ones.

Ledlum was all in but **** happens. Staff learned a little on that one that you can’t ignore these big football schools. Lots of cash to drop. 

@Stuhoo - made a great post but think many discounted it or talked themselves out of it meaning anything. Fact is, Cuban never followed Ledlum and he doesn’t even follow most IU players. Only ones he is working on an NIL deal with. MM, Liam and now Boogie. Prior to that TJD. You can go search but don’t think you will find any others. Cuban is way too busy to follow rando recruits and hope like rest of us. He follows very, very few people and they all have a purpose. As was called out, he followed MM morning of.  The tells on that one went way back prior though. Many just didn’t want to believe or hear it. 

Trilly - has said IU for awhile now. Dropped lots and lots of hints. The confusion on his countdown fully aligned with what others were saying. That there was confusion on the date of announcement. Well, he also recorded a video Monday, that was probably the info that had Trilly confused and he later said “this week for Boogie” - then announcement of Friday came. The video was exact date of Trilly countdown. 

The rivals guys like Rob said the exact, almost word for word thing about MM. IU was in it but his gut told him Kansas (now Kentucky) because of their track record. That is it. Gut. So then message boards, lesser “analysts” like a Kent Sterling take his word because what else do they have to go on. I remember when I was 100% confident on MM. Rob posted a CB for MM to Kansas (while also saying it was just gut) and then like 10 more guys followed him. The “smoke” people are hearing is just that. Guys like Rob going with gut and they trust him and spread it. 

I think most fans and media would all be in on IU if they just had longer track record of landing these guys. It doesn’t make sense to them. Does to me.

IU - wins in NIL on this one or at least equal. Campus facilities equal. Guaranteed playing time. Proven recent success in guard development. Trust beyond basketball with the coach because others around you tell you, he is the guy. Another 5 star begging you to play with him on national TV. No real concern about being recruited over and guys changing mind to reclass. Etc etc

I also don’t believe there is some back and forth. Has been decided. This “smoke” is fan or rumor driven. Gets going with things like Trilly talking New York guards. By the way, why does everyone assume that is bad for IU? All the recent stuff from Rob C., his burner ball, now former, Twitter buddy etc has said Kentucky last 24 hours. Maybe Trilly was just shocked to finally hear it is IU and all that went on with Cuban etc? Or maybe nothing to do with IU? 

I see zero reason this isn’t IU on many fronts. Yes, social media is a big part of that but not all of it because it does matter and is calculated. These guys don’t follow random people. Both directions.

This is a great post and so well written. Three weeks ago I was told that IU was way out in front for Boogie. Was told that he liked the way IU got JHS ready for the NBA, that he was close to Melo, that his HS coach used to do some work for Woody and NY Knicks and lastly, we were sending in Isiah to talk to him. Plus was said that we had a few other tricks up our sleeve. I'm guessing that is Cuban now. When he didn't need to come back for another visit, I took that as a good sign. He knew he wanted to be at IU after the first visit.

Now since then, there has been so much time, I think we IU fans have started to worry or second-guess ourselves or believe anything we read as a sign for UK. I'm sure Cal is pulling out all of his bag of tricks to get him to Lexington. But just don't think it's going to be enough but good news is we're down to under 30 hours till decision time. 

Go Hoosiers!! Tomorrow is going to be a good day.

Yeah, I'm starting to notice how people like to keep their 'crystal ball' percentages pristine:  only put a crystal ball or future case on guys you are 100% on....in which case, most people already know it.  There are tons of predictors at 247 and not a single one has made a prediction yet.  It seems more and more to me that guys aren't predicting unless they know it's come straight from the player's or player's families lips.  I'm positive that a lot of the predictors are pretty sure they know where he is going but would rather post a 14 out of 14 score than a 48 out of 52 correct score by only posting slam dunks.
