Yep. We don't deserve to be ranked after last week.

BUT I think DRock will have this team improved. The lack of size and athleticism certainly might have a ceiling, but we can still be a tough out if we patch some of our deficiencies.

Hoping to just sneak into the tournament this year despite honestly thinking we won’t.

Then hopefully we can put together a high ceiling roster and see if DeVries Got it.

I like his passion and grit but you can only do so much with the pieces he has assembled.

Nervous for what might become a long term build.

Is Lamar coachable? Last few games he has seemed lost to me. Kid can shoot, but I can't see much else in his game, if he's hitting his shots he is a great asset, but when he's off he doesn't seem to create much offense. Don't get me wrong I really like him but he seems to be regressing from earlier in the season!

My outside perspective is yes, I think he is.

He’s being scouting as scoring option 1a or 1b and they are crowding him. He’s not getting too many open looks. So He’s shooting from deep just to shoot.

That’s why I think Conerway, Wilk, Dorn, DeVries, Bailey lineup adds an extra shooter and hopefully can free him up a bit.

DDV gotta lot of things to figure out quickly.

Agree, need more sets and actions to give him and Tucker better looks, B1G teams have them scouted as our #1 and 2 scoring options. Lamar is absolutely coachable he comes in from SHSU (here just north of H-Town) with years under his belt as a 40% plus deep shooter and great teammate. Time to add actions, can’t be predictable in conf and other guys have to be looked to with the kind of ball movement for better looks we saw against Marq, KSU and earlier

It’s funny because Enright has arguably been our most consistently successful player—he always brings an intensity that others don’t always have.

But adding Dorn and/or Sisley to the lineup instead of Enright or Conerway solves the size issue and improves shooting.

The guy that really deserves to be dropped from the starting five is Bailey. Anyone for a starting five of Conerway, Lamar, Dorn, Sisley, and Tucker? Five mid-ish size guys. Tucker gives up four inches but doesn’t have to guard someone too quick for him. And our four best shooters play together.

Seems NIL $ is the key but with football doing even better this year and with an older coach clearly a lot of $ goes that way. In order to build that high ceiling roster it seems we need an extra infusion of NIL $. Just not sure how much of that is out there for both.

I think so. The big knock on him was defense and he competes hard on that end. And he’s made some nice alley oop passes when driving off the dribble. I actually think he needs to be allowed to dribble and penetrate a little more.

I hate to say it, but if anything we rely on creation from Tucker too much. He doesn’t have the athleticism to get anything off the bounce. Yet because our PGs get nothing in that regard either so a lot falls on him.

The big thing with Lamar (and all our guys) is that he/they get blocked at the rim a lot. That seems like maybe it makes them shy to cut and back cut towards the rim which then results in a lot of standing around the perimeter.

Need to quit standing around watching the ball get dribbled around the strong side of the court.

I'm for a line-up modification.  I'd start by swapping bigs and inserting Dorn or Tren and splitting the pgs.

Now that the site's back up ,where is Miles? I don't see him on the bench and thought he was going to be an asset to this team. Glad to see Dorn coming on though.

Miles has not gotten minutes the last few games. He was not on the bench today likely because of having a bad case of the flu. Dorn looks like a very important part of the team moving forward!

Anyone know anything about Josh Harris?

If memory serves correctly he is supposed to be a strong rebounder and athletic.

Last I knew he had his foot in a boot and out indefinitely.
