I stand by the reservation that we need to present to McNeeley to have a good enough class to be nationally relevant. Self isn’t giving in despite Trilly Donovan’s confidence. I think we need to convince Queen too. Besides Boogie, no one really left to build out the class in the fall.

I almost feel like it’s a positive that Bill feels the need for another visit, meaning we are in front. But when he gets involved, it always makes me queasy. But I think he gives that feeling to a lot of people.

I agree I think this is his hail mary because he already knows the writing is on the wall. He's just trying to tell Liam to hold off on going to IU so he can try to get Flagg to Kansas and they both can play together. But as everyone knows Flagg is going to Duke and Liam to IU and Queen is not going to Kansas who has Flory

I don't know, the last time we thought we were getting someone where an opposing staff made a last-minute Hail Mary (Ledlum), they got him. Hopefully this isn't a repeat.

True, but Woody and company have put in way more time with Liam compared to a 5th year senior transfer. I would think that even if Kansas did something to jump ahead or even the playing field, we would get last call. At least, that is my thinking.

I know Knight was an a**h*** to a lot of people and whatever, but his unwillingness to kiss @$$ constantly is respectable imo. Not sure I could land any of these kids bc after a hundred phone calls and texts and photo shoots and promises of 6 figure income while they play basketball at school...I'd probably just lose my patience. I'd be like Norman Dale "I don't care if you play on the team or not" lol.

It feels like Woodson needs to look in the mirror and make sure he is closing long recruitments with elite prospects correctly. Have no idea what is going on but for whatever reason this is still a challenge for him. He has done everything else really well.

It could be that Liam was just being courteous to Self and allowing him one last talk. I can't say I have no concern, but I still think this plays out okay for IU....just my opinion.
