Can't be sure, but I think Woody just sat him after the game got out of control. No sense in him burning useless minutes.

They just put us in our place!  We played horrible the 2nd half.  It definitely puts things in perspective with our team!

I thought the game changed when Stewart missed a 3 with a 4 point lead, they promptly hit 2 in a row to take the lead.  We couldn’t get our inside game going and did nothing from deep.  Kopp is useless if he doesn’t shoot and hit 3’s!

This game and the Michigan game shows us really how far away we are from having a roster that can contend. We are at minimum 2-3 years away.

Lead was up to like 14 at that point I believe.  Give Lander some experience and no need to run up X's minutes.

I think Woody has been doing a good job, but he didn’t have a good day today. Bad game plan. Bad half time adjustments.  It happens.
 

Its beyond obvious TJD can’t play the bigger centers straight up. Were small and need to front and help like Race was doing at the end of the first half. 
 

It’s also obvious you can’t feed TJD in the post as the basis of your offense against those guys.  
 

Our perimeter players aren’t great but we have depth. We have to run and pressure these bigger teams. Kind of like we did Purdue at times. TJD has to play like a role player in these type of games and not some focal point. We literally played better without him at times today because we weren’t trying to let him matchup with Kofi.

Yeah, thought if Parker hits the three we probably force them to take a timeout.  Probably wouldn't have mattered much, but probably would have given our guys some confidence.

I think Woodson just stuck with the starters for too long.  Durr did a great job.Wish Bates would come out of his shell. We know he has the skill but for some reason it’s just not right there yet. With a year to get physically bigger, he’ll be a sight to see.

TJD isn’t ****. He’s not a pro player and it isn’t even questionable. Race has way more “potential”. I’d like to see trayce either get better or leave bc I think it helps our program leaps and bounds. Been saying it all year long

Size is a problem for this team. If you want to beat Illinois you have to get Cockburn in foul trouble. Iu did nothing offensively to get him in foul trouble. This team isn't bad but it's also not good. Very mediocre and therefore we should expect mediocre results. We are now Iowa, ND, Virginia Tech, Stanford, WV, etc. We used to be Duke, KY, NC, MSU, etc. Those days have long since passed us by. Negative people go on pretending like we should have expected better and positive people go on trying to excuse all of this away. In the endnone of it matters. I'm sad now and will increase alcohol consumption. Separate and enjoy the rest of your weekend

Illinois is tough. I was way off thinking Underwood, early in his time at Illinois, would only last a few years.

Kofi is a beast and it really helps him, and them, that they have multiple guys that can both hit the three and take it to the hole.

In the second half we just stood around a lot on offense.

It’s not that we lose when we have a chance to get ranked that irks me. It’s that we lose BADLY for like 4 years now.  Every time we have been a game away from being ranked we just get ran off the court

Thanks to years past, I am prepared for a pretty significant losing streak with 3/4 on the road and home against Wisconsin.
