It was such a bad loss, I wasn’t even mad. But ……..Bryson Scott was arguably the better player than Blackmon if you take both ends of the court in the comparison. The Scott brothers annihilated Blackmon in their HS game. But man, Blackmon could shoot that rock. Then you had John Konchar. He was a rock star. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Yes, that was inexplicable (and Creans last season) as we beat Kansas ten days earlier and then beat UNC (#3) the week after Fort Wayne. In between the Kansas and UNC wins we somehow lost in OT @ Fort Wayne even though we had three NBA players in the front court (Bryant, Morgan, OG) and Robert Johnson and Blackmon in the backcourt. And then the next year, Archies first, we lost to Fort Wayne by 20 at home. A two year losing streak to Fort Wayne!!!!! OliviaPope40 and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote

Dave from Dayton Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Do preseason rankings mean anything at all? No. But this is still wonderful! https://www.insidethehall.com/2022/09/07/indiana-ranked-preseason-no-6-by-lindys-sports/ Quote

You need to ride the wave of this I-told-you-so forever. Just bask in the glory of IU’s underperformance. I hope you never get to stop reveling in our failure. Take pride knowing that only you and those of similar intellect could comprehend the gravity of a loss to IPFW. This might blow your mind, but being a fan of a team has nothing to do with impartiality. And don’t go bringing “integrity” into it as if that has real meaning here. None of this matters, it’s entertainment. Allow fellow Hoosier fans to cheer for the team if they want to, it makes them happy. thebigweave, Hovadipo, HoosierHoopster and 2 others 3 1 1 Quote

LIHoosier Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 https://iuhoosiers.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule/2022-23At Rugers and home Nebraska in the tough December stretch is the best we could ask for and seemingly the only conference home game without students is NW. And 4 Saturday conference home games! That might equal our last 3 years.Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk BtownStrength, Class of '66 Old Fart, Hovadipo and 2 others 4 1 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Haven’t done a deep dive but pretty happy with @ Illinois in January. Gives them less time to gel as a team. Will look over the schedule more but that stood out. I’d say the goal should be 11-2 or better going up to the heart of our big ten schedule. Quote
TheWatShot Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Not that I'm terribly upset by this, but I noticed we have 2 exhibition games. I'd bet anything Xavier Johnson is getting a 3 game suspension to start the season and the 2 exhibitions (that count for half a game each) are to make sure he's eligible when we face his namesake on the road.
