Dangerous to read too much into anything you see on Twitter but mildly interesting that Sandra Clowney re-tweeted a tweet from Fayette County HS thanking Woody for stopping in to watch Kaleb Banks.

Might be something brewing here worth keeping ears on in the next few weeks. VT visit underwhelming enough that NC sent a text to one of our staff members today during the Va Tech football game. Not to commit. But think that 4-hour drive home from Blacksburg tomorrow could involve some interesting family discussion. Feeling real good right now about this one.

Appreciate the info! Completely agree—the context and substance of the text are huge. Two options:

1) Coach Yas texts Noah while Noah is at the game “Just checking in.” Noah responds “can’t talk-busy”

2) Noah texts Coach Woodson while on another campus “you’re right Coach…nothing compares to IU! Can’t wait to get back to my new home!”

Any idea whether this text exchange closely resembled either of these options?

He said he knows the context but wasn’t going to divulged that info out of respect for his source. It’s closer to the latter

Va Tech visit write-up by their “Insider.” You know what’s notable here?  Nothing. Nothing at all. Half the folks around here could could have produced this. 2 things: 1) It’s easy to occasionally lose site of just how much more invested in, and sophisticated about, this stuff the IU fan base is than almost any other .I don’t know if Clowney’s visit was underwhelming or not, but I’m pretty confident that random Va Tech fans weren’t chanting his name in restaurants. 2) With guys like Mike Schumann and his contemporaries putting out great stuff pretty much non-stop, our access to information is just on a different level. It really is true, when IU basketball is hot they’re really isn’t anything like it.

How excited could they be about VT his mom was checking out future IU players on social media while packing.

I vowed to not get reeled into anymore recruitments, as it is often anyone’s guess as to what a kid is going to do, but here I am again.......hook-line-and sinker. LOL

Noah seems to be a perfect fit for Woodys offense and what this recruiting class needs. Fingers crossed.

I feel the same way. I’m definitely not invested like I was before with Archie and Creans early days but I am definitely invested

Noah Clowney is just such a good fit for exactly what we need going forward:

A long, high motor, quick big who can play outside.

Feels like Durr and Duncomb can fill the big role of the banger, and Clowney can immediately slide into TJD’s spot.

I also LOVE the clear indication that Noah is the only 22 big we are pursuing. Feels like we’re waiting for the inevitable good news.
