Seems like someone commented that he had to be helped to/from his seat at Hinkle but no idea how old that report was. He also coached D'Angelo Russell. Kids know who Greg Oden is too. They know him for being injured all the time, but they know him. They were on a downward trend on his way out because of his physical issues, not because the guy forgot to coach. If his back is ok he would be a tremendous hire. Conley is still the point guard on the 1 seed in the West. Teenage basketball players know who he is. I very much doubt that high-level basketball recruits have no idea who Greg Oden is. Even if they don't know who he is, who cares. Matta won 5 conference titles and 4 conference tournaments in 13 seasons at Ohio State. A football school where basketball is second fiddle. We've won 5 conference titles since 1989, and we have never won the conference tournament. The only reason to be concerned about him is his health. It's a big concern certainly, but the guy didn't forget how to coach in the past four years. T White 1 Quote
