Pitino personality is better suited for a job like IU and he's a better college coach.

Pitino isn't going to leave NY, but he is 72 years old.

I would hope that IU isn't going to "retire" a 66 year old coach and hire a 72 year old coach. LOL

Big fish aren't coming, NC State is going to snag Wade, and we are going to toss darts at the wall.

Someone talk me off the ledge!

Well if it says anything, Dolson hired Woodson, a guy who was out of coaching just two years prior.

I have our answer. People have talked about former Maryland coach Turgeon. And Dolson loves former retired coaches. And we've been talking about Wade?

How about former Maryland coach Bob Wade?

He has experience. And he's only 80 or so, I think...

He had a profile picture of a NASCAR..... D1 Basketball players aren't NASCAR fans or even think to use that as a front.

So, no D1 players like NASCAR?  And you know this how?

Assuming not everything in the last two hours is complete BS about BS…what does it say about Stevens that he won’t take this job for ~$9m but would entertain it for $11m? Either you’re up for coaching college again or you’re not. At this point his finances are set for life, so why is an extra $1-2m going to not only change his mind but make him actually be all in with what the job entails for years on end?

How dare interject logic into the situation ! BAN HIM !!!

He needs the extra $2M to start his tiny giraffe ranch

If we are going to consider a tier 3 candidate with Indiana connections like Brownell, I have a suggestion.  This coach has a .657 career winning percentage.  At his most recent school, this coach has made the NCAA Tournament 3 of the last 4 years.  This coach has proven he can recruit top 25 talent.  This coach has played in the NBA and has former players playing in the NBA so this coach would have that selling point for recruits and portal players.

If we are going tier 3 candidates, give me Bryce Drew over Brownell.
