UT has **** you money from their donors and oil well royalties. SMU is definitely a step in the wrong direction for a president.

I can’t imagine that Dolson would be willing to take the risk.

SMU also has F-You money. You didn’t know this?

Obviously none of us have 100% perfect knowledge but the affidavit from that night is a public record — even if you ONLY believe what he admitted to it’s awful.
Can you put a link on here to what he has admitted to? I've read numerous things about the allegations but in all honesty I have not seen what he admitted to. I'd be interested in reading it

Yeah, but not in the way that UT has f-you money. SMU’s f-you money is probably better than UT’s because they are a private school, but they don’t have same level of f-you money as UT.

It is possible.  They aren't playing real well right now.  I do worry for their sake that they could end up facing a team in the NCAAs that will go small on them and make it hard for Dusty to play Goldin and Wolf together.

Yeah they were lamenting that they had a good thing going with the 2 bugs in the pick and roll, but when it got found out they have had a game every 3 days (didn’t look it up for accurcacy), making it difficult to adapt.

But as much as we as a collective fanbase all like Dusty, it does make me wonder. His team is fading in February/March. Power conference basketball is different. It take a physical toll on your team and you need multiple styles of play that can complement each other when something isn’t working. Dusty hasn’t shown that yet.

We need to cut the entire old guard and Knight tree off.  We need an entire reboot.  Beards offense is difficult to watch.  Don’t think people have really watched him.  Anyone ever associated with Knight needs to be removed from the list.  They are living in their fantasy world.

This I can agree with.

Listening through some basketball podcasts over the last 3 weeks, one of the key metrics for winning it all is offensive efficiency. There are a few outliers but all but like 3ish national champions had top 5 offenses on Kenpom. The outliers were still top 25. But the defensive efficiencies were also top 25, most top 10. So to me it’s more important to have an offensive minded head coach than defensive. But the defense needs to still be top 25 on kenpom.

Well he is.  Why did he end up in jail?  Just because she said something?  Did you read the affidavit? Do you think that’s how it works?
There have been quite a few men who ended up in jail "just because she said something". People are starting to want a little more proof these days.

As a Christian, I believe that people can change and become better people. A basic tenant of the faith is we are all redeemable, everyone of us. So I will not write someone off because of a terrible action. Doesn’t mean what he did was right. Doesn’t mean he should be hired to coach at IU. But feel free to laugh, it says more about you than me as a Christian.

Agree with this 100%.  I myself have committed terrible actions and sin everyday as we all do.  I won’t get into a debate about Beard or anyone else’s sins, as I cannot cast the first stone

I'd be shocked if IU hired Beard, they passed on him before his arrest. This is also a guy that UK and UL passed on, and neither of them are afraid of taking a coach with issues.

Agree with this too. I would be highly surprised if it’s Beard

Looks like my Monarchs won (I live about 15 miles from ODU).

I don't have ESPN-plus, so had to check the score online.

ODU had a coach a few years back who was fired because of alcohol issues. Was a damn good coach, too.

Reading through this whole sordid Beard debate kinda takes me back to his tenure.

Think he's in the market for a job?

So how did this get back on Beard? It was getting pretty ugly in here again this morning, about 50 pages ago, so I haven't looked at it since.

Good recap of the day here:

Evidently there was a rumor this evening IU possibly talking with Beard. So now there is a moral keyboarding feud afoot.
