It turns out all it took to get 30-40 pages in a day was for somebody to come in here and claim Mark Turgeoon is a serious candidate.

This is where the Cronin psy-op comes in; once the fan base is introduced to the idea of a guy with one Sweet Sixteen in his last 15 years of coaching, Mick Cronin looks like a Dusty May-level grand slam.

No, like I said, connection is via a mark connection specifically.

And look everyone, I know mark may not excite a lot of the base the way others might. But he’s an accomplished college coach and those aren’t easy to find, and again there’s some feeling it’s a good fit from an intangibles perspective.

I'm sorry. I've seen a lot of crazy stuff on this site over the last couple of weeks. Without having any special knowledge, I can't imagine that IU would hire a 60 year old coach, who isn't even currently a head coach, with a middling career record.

They already did that, and they only hired him because he was a former great player 40+ years ago, and he was a horrible failure as a coach.

I can't believe that people are taking these brand new posters seriously at this point. LOL

I like to imagine Dolson seeing a need to calm down the message boards by floating a Brad Brownell or Mark Turgeon every couple of days. Waiting for Pat Chambers to be floated on Wednesday!

Well if that's the plan, mission failed.

Mike Brey is a name I was told has come up but after last week I'm not believing anything I'm told anymore.  If he were a little younger I wouldn't hate it but mid 60s and it had been awhile since he had success at ND before he "retired"

I think this is a Quinn Buckner psych-op to slowly wear down everyone so that Randy Wittman will look good as the next head coach of your Indiana Hoosiers. Give it time. You'll see...LOL
