Pagoda Posted February 16 Posted February 16 14 minutes ago, Chris007 said: My list if Brad isn’t available like Goodman says is Dusty, Dusty, he should already be the coach. I argued that with NGW till I was blue in the face. He wanted Woodson with a bankroll by donors. I ended up being right because anyone with any basketball knowledge knew Woodson couldn’t coach and Dusty can. If he says no I would do McCollum, then TJ. If we get that desperate then Beard or Wade. Flip a coin. It kills me we could have Dusty right now and have a shot to win the conference plus some serious program building under our belt. We would likely have Mullins, Sisley, and some other elite HS players committed for next year. That would be sweet. But noooo. We are the opposite situation — program getting worse and a big rebuild effort required and Dusty may not come. Brutal. Just brutal. BannerVille, Iufan93, Home Jersey and 1 other 4
Josh Posted February 16 Posted February 16 To those that follow this stuff, who's on UNC's coaching hot board? It feels like they're going to need a coach after the season too

But if you're Scott Dolson are you willing to risk your career to be that one person and possibly President Whitten's as well if she signed off on it and it blows up in the university's face? IMO Dolson is not a gambler and he won't take that risk. And I'm not necessarily directing my question at you but it's more rhetorical in nature. It’s just nauseating that a sure thing in Beard wants the job and his past f ups are going to keep him from it. In the end it’s on him. I would like to think the guy has a new lease on life and knows there will be no 3rd chance if he messes up again. Hoosierfan2017 1

Home Jersey Posted February 16 Posted February 16 1) May if you can swing it 2) McDermott 3) McCasland if you can get him out of TX 4) Buzz 5) Cronin 6) McCollum I’d like Devries and Byington above McCollum, but not sure they’d leave after 1 year at their current spots. Don’t find many of the other names mentioned often to be very attainable. Definitely reach out to them too. I’m hoping they’re in the process with agents/reps for all these guys and others as in doing their due diligence so they can pull the trigger asap when they’re done with their current team. No time to waste with portal season looming. go iu bb and Pagoda 2

Take the chance and either become the GOAT in regards to IU ADs, or become the goat that everyone blames and wants to see burned at the stake. I don’t know Scott Dolson. I don’t know Pam Whitten. Can’t even imagine what they might do. I do know that throughout history, people who are considered great had to take a gamble at some point. rcbowla 1
