It was always going to be a long shot.

I wonder if he even was able to leverage IU this time for anything from the Celtics.

I don't fault any of the posters here for sharing what they were hearing. 

IU took their shot at the great white whale, exactly like they should have. Didn't bite, so time to move on. No harm no foul.

The good news? We've gotten this out of the way by Feb. 14.

Plenty of time to find serious candidates and come to a deal. Get a CBB lifer and a grinder.

So, either all the stuff about Scott wining and dining Brad over the past year was fake news, or Scott spent all that time and energy but still couldn’t close the deal.

Hope it’s the former, but I’m fully prepared for Scott to hire another dud.

If we’re being honest, it’s not news. Brad was not quoted in saying he’s not a candidate. He just gave a quote saying he enjoys being a Celtic.
