Is there any pulse on Scott Drew?

My old high school coach was a video scout coordinator on Scott Drew’s staff and is now an assistant coach for one of his former top associate head coaches… I’ll text him tomorrow and see if he thinks Drew would ever leave Baylor. He still meets up with Drew every final 4 at the coaches conference

No not really.  Said great things about Indiana and IU.  A couple weeks later called himself a masshole.

Is the guy not allowed to be a fan of IU while also not wanting to coach there? I’m sure the Stevens are sick and tired of having to quell these rumors every few years.

IsaacTor had ONE post on this board before today, and it came on 3/6/24, at 3:17 p.m. It was announced around 7 p.m. that night that Woodson was getting another year.

Something to consider.

This makes me feel better.  Thank you.

Lots of smoke screens being put out as well as flat out false info. Front my position Brad being the next coach has never been closer as of this afternoon. Let Scott work!

I choose to believe this is NOT a smokescreen, because I want it to be true.

There’s no way as a GM they are paying him that much. That would

be triple his coaching salary. I’d be surprised if he got much of a raise to take over for Ainge. He’s probably in the 5mil a year ballpark.

It does seem high, 11.5 would mean the Celts are  paying more for him to be front office than all but like 4 head coaches.. I can’t imagine that’s the case for an exec but who knows.

Also, I just want to remind everyone here that none of this money is coming from any of our pockets. I don’t care if they pay someone 12 million, a yacht, and a rental property on the moon. If we get our guy we get our guy and the money will be of absolutely no consequence in the long run. Who cares if we have to pay double or triple for someone? This is the benefit we get from being IU and having folks willing to pony up, where other schools may not.

Let’s just hope they put it in the right people’s pockets because their track record not so good.

Maybe Stevens had an NBA Championship bonus in his contract and 11.5 is what he made with the bonus included.
