I’d be shocked if it’s not McCollum at this point

I am just worried he isn't an alpha type that can sell and promote the brand.  Speaking to local businesses, interacting with high school coaches in Indiana, I just think we need a charismatic leader.

Say what you will about Bobby Knight, Rick Pitino, Jay Wright, Coach K........they all have a dominating 'presence'.  I don't see that in McCollum, he seems more inverted and a quiet type.  Not sore that resonates with this fan base in my opinion.

Did you listen to his Dakich interview this morning or any of his other sit downs/podcasts?

Well having gotten caught up today, I think we can definitively rule Brownell out. No way Tom Allen isn't seeing this and heading straight to Brownell's office to make sure he knows how little we LEO now and how much more LEO he has at Clemson.

Fair. It begs the question… are two first place conference finishes and an E8 in D1 more successful than 4 D2 national titles? I will take the D2 resume in this case.

BM has also won (outright or tied) 13 conference titles in the past 14 years, including 12 in a row with the latest at Drake.

Can see this.  Jobs like this can also bring that out of a person.  Dusty talked about feeling like he was in over his head when he took the FAU job, now he's at Michigan winning a B1G tournament title.

He just got there. Why would iowa want guy who bails on a program after a year

Only Iowa can answer that.  Not any different than IU going after May.  I think it's pertinent to the IU search which is why I pose the question.

Very true.

A good friend of mine was workout buddies with Eric Gordon’s dad and would play pickup ball with him at the JCC in Indy.

He told me a few days before it came out that he was flipping to IU. I asked how he knew, and he said Gordon’s dad told him IU swooped in with a much bigger offer than Illinois could pony up. It was an easy choice.

IU has dropped more bags than people realize. Archie Miller was no Boy Scout like some seem to think. How do you think he got Khristian Lander?

Wish the kid well, but to think that a bag was dropped to land Khristian Lander...

Been a busy day at work so just checking back in, please tell me we’re not back on the BM/BB train

We are split between the "sky is falling" train and the "take a breath and see what happens" train.

Beyond that, nothing to report other than reports that Dolson is playing everything very tight and no one knows anything.
