Wow. Devries or McCollum……great……wow…..

not killing messenger. Killing the selection when you’ve had 12 months to prep

I’m not excited about either. HOWEVER, how can you make somebody take a job that they aren’t interested in. I’m sure Scott threw the kitchen sink at “big names”. If we don’t have one on the sideline next year, it’s likely not due to a lack of a plan or effort.

The reality check for many of us will be that IU basketball simply isn’t the job we think it is after years of bad basketball.

At this point, if McCollum is the floor, what is there to argue about? After hearing him talk this morning again....impressive, serious, and could be great! I'm down with him or anyone better.

Because some people only eat at chain/name brand places.  They want to win the press conference.  They have no ability to comprehend anything beyond the big names being a great hire.

Dolson has had 12 months to find the guy. If that's the best he can do consider me not impressed.

I once had inside information and I posted it on a message board. It was back when Mike Davis got fired. I was sitting in Panera in Bloomington and two of Davis' assistants were at the table behind me. Davis still had his job, but they were talking about needing to search for jobs. I thought that was interesting and I posted it on Peegs, but nobody believed me.
I've learned that if your name is Isaac, more people will believe you...you should have been IsaacConnection...

Well, to be fair, we don't know this.

I mean, it doesn't seem that Dolson threw "the kitchen sink" at a "bunch of big names" 4 years ago before IU hired Woody. Who knows what he's actually doing this time?

I <hope> that he's as good as everybody seems to think he is. We will find out soon.

Portal opens 1 week from today. Can they even enter until then?

Yes, they can enter before it opens for everyone else since the coach left. They basically get a week more than everyone else to decide if they want to stay or go.

no. "Sweet 16" is winning 2 games. One of those probably being Purdue. Why is that impressive?

I didn’t say it was, just posing a question to give people something to talk about instead of going after one another.
