This seems like a major hint. Why would an NBA insider be breaking the news of IU’s basketball coach unless it was an NBA guy?

I think this was posted because someone asked who Shams was ...

That was signed last year & does not definitively eliminate Brownell from contention, unless you actually KNOW something- please share how you know I’m “wrong”.

Feisty.

I'll be sure to tell you you're wrong when Brownell is not announced. Even though you should be able to say it yourself.

I’m not sure of a grand slam, but Pearl, Few, Drew. I have no idea how realistic they are. Tier below that Beard, Wade, TJ, McDermott.

I'd be delighted (mostly) with any of those.

McCasland, Stevens, Otzelberger, Lloyd.

Those are the four lock solid - most likely to be a great choice winners for me.

Young, hungry, proven.

Those too.

I’d take any of those 4 in a heart beat

I really thought adding the comment about Dolson blocking himself from googling "who should I hire" would have been a dead giveaway of the absurdity of my post.

Obviously Dolson has been doing something!

We slow, sorry! lol

Just for kicks.....

....of the current coaches officially in the NCAA tournament, who could be considered a (realistic) grandslam HR coach for IU?

Realistic?

Beard is probably that grand slam. I just don’t think Indiana can hire him with his history however..

However, I wonder if Pearl would consider coming home to Indiana.

Sean Miller - "winning with NIL, before it was known as NIL"

I think he would have been interesting once upon a time but after the Archie debacle and Seans "issues" with the NCAA, I doubt its realistic for this search

Not quite Breaking Bad set in the desert, but I’ll give you credit for a classic. IU’s AD has the IT department prevent him from asking Google who he should hire because A) that’s how he really wants to conduct the search, and B) he just can’t control himself

I mean, it's 2025. I'm disappointed he didn't ask the IT dept to block him from ChatGPT and OpenAI. LOL
