If the new coach isn’t coaching, I expect this to be done by wed/Thursday before the opening tip of the tournament. If the coach is still coaching it will depend when they lose I guess.

Honestly, they should have accepted a postseason invite.  I don't get the idea that it's NCAA Tournament or Bust when the program hasn't reached the Final Four since 2002.

Why? We didn't make the tournament... but you want to play in one of the two loser tournaments? Are you really that much of a masochist? And no need to try to encourage the Wizard of Broad Ripple with crap like "well, we won the NIT, I know we would have made some noise in the NCAAT".
