I don’t see how they can wait until April to announce the hire.  The new coach can only do so much in incognito mode before perspective players will want to know who the coach is going to be.

Someone posted in here last night that it’s a requirement for teams that didn’t make the tournament to play in it. Not sure how accurate that is. I find it completely stupid. No one wants to play in a losers tournament now that the portal is here.

Yes, the whole university is, not just the athletic department.  There was a miscalculation in their financials that left them with a huge deficit.

A question I have asked, but no one seems to know.  If we were to go to the Crown Tournament, but most of our team is in the portal, then what happens?  Does IU face some kind of fine?  They just go on to the next team in line?  This will be interesting for sure.

The part about this tournament that makes zero sense to me is, you start it a week after the portal opens. Unless you have a really young team what would you get from playing in this? Your coaching staff needs to worry about maintaining and acquiring kids. Just crazy to me.
