Neither of us do. But your premise of saying the same people that don’t want McCollum wanted Dusty…isn’t even comparable lol. Of course we wanted Dusty. He’s from Bloomington, went to IU, coached in the Final Four…it’s not a comparison

Yeah I am coming around on McCollum in the abstract but in addition to the other ways May’s different, Drake has been good recently AND pretty darn good historically for a program of its type. FAU basically had no history whatsoever in basketball before May. IU Prof and str8baller 2

Was at Duke forever and guess what? No one wins at Northwestern), Will Wade, Buzz Williams, Mick Cronin, Greg McDermott. Give me any one of those guys over McCollum and I'm not crazy about any of those guys. If Collins is such a great coach, how come no one else has come along and stole him from Northwestern? Hornsby Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I like McCollum but IUBB is not in the state for taking risks. I know there’s a lot to like but there’s a lot to be skeptical about as well Not anymore we aren't. Beard is the one big name we can probably get, but I fully expect iu to pass. I don't want bronwell at all but I can totally see iu hiring him over beard.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk
Hornsby Posted March 10 Posted March 10 The same people that don’t want to risk McCollum would have taken May last season based on him making the title game the year before. Mike Davis made a title game too. May had been d1 coach fox six years not one year. Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk Hoosier987 and lillurk 2

Paye32 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) I'm not totally sold on Dusty May. 12 of their 22 wins have been by 4 points or less. I call that luck. He's a few bad calls or unlucky bounces from being Mike Woodson at this point imo. That could change of course. Edited March 10 by Paye32 IUguy77, jonz44 and tkbbn 3

Always been my concern with Dusty; how he handles pressure and how he stops the bleeding. There’s a very real chance Michigan won’t win another game this year…2.5 weeks ago they were a top 10 team and in sole possession of first place in the B10. IUBtown and Alford Bailey 2

I know people bring up he’s winning with D2 players but those D2 players have been in his system for a long time. We’ve yet to see him have to recruit and replace players at this level. Despite that id still take him over Collin or brownell. Those two have shown they’re mediocre at this level It looks like he has two committed recruits.
