Absolutely wrong. With Goodman and IU his reporting is never wrong, he just adds an insult to it. Like with Thad Matta, he said he was out. I also don't get people seeming convinced he would win here after what we saw with archie. Are people just blinded by cig and think mccollum is cig no matter what Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk They really don’t have much in common (Archie and McCollum). Archie was decent at a place where most coaches win. McCollum finished first in his conference 13 of 14 years. He also has 4 national championships. He also has an undefeated season, 2 seasons with only 1 loss, and 6 others with 5 or fewer losses. Archie never won at that level. Josh, Indiana8585, lillurk and 2 others 4 1

In the end, the insiders on this forum or people like Goodman are simply saying what they hear. Or inferring things from what they hear. If people choose to believe any of it, it’s on them if they are disappointed. Confirmation bias is a real thing and we see it played out when everything being bantered about is all opinion. Makes it fun for people like me who put zero stock in anything I read. J34, str8baller and thebigweave 3

Hornsby Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I wouldn’t be surprised if Iowa is going to hire McCollum in the next year or two and we will be regretting letting him get away when we had the chance We have regretted not hiring alot of guys but he could also be a bustSent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

Popular Post OKHOOSIER Posted March 9 Popular Post Posted March 9 I think a lot of people myself included just believe that if we get to a point where Collins or Brownell are serious contenders, why not just take the chance on lightning in a bottle with McCollum. Worst case either way we do this again in four years. It's why I would prefer Cronin, just proven stability. Brownell or Collins do not provide that kind of guarantee. If we cannot hire someone who is, why not take a shot on someone winning 80% of their games. For Dolson, a gamble on Brownell or Collins being exactly what they have been at the high major level and him getting fired seem just as good as McCollum being crazy good and Dolson getting a lifetime contract.
