The point was Crean recruited complete teams (at least twice) leading to conference titles, something his successors have not done. I don't disagree that it was time for a coaching change when it happened. My god Woodson has been here two years. What did you expect the team to look like this year. Quote

Our guardplay which was already our weakness is much weaker going into next year. I doubt we are after anymore frontcourt players, so we will really need better perimeter players to make up for it.. The front court still should be good and not far off from last year. Of course nobody will replace TJD production and why we need to upgrade positions 2-4. We also can win next year but it might need to be in another way TJD better than Ware Reneau better than Race JHS pretty even with XJ If Banks improves he should bring more than Kopp did. I think Sparks coming off the bench will be better than Duncomb so that is a win Quote

Woodson had a choice when he arrived — blow it up or patch it together. He chose and most were good with patching it together. We know this year will likely be a down year. But that’s part of the process. It’s about building long term success which we haven’t had in a long while. Quote

But he won't match Kopp's shooting ability. Maybe that adds up to a net plus but Banks at the 3 leaves IU without a reliable 3-point shooter that stretches the floor. Quote

I know Arkansas has brought in 4 players who are guards so it will effect Davis on playing time. He is testing the NBA but I doubt he will stay in the draft. Also has any of our assistants recruited him before He's not in the portal though. So there has to be some sort of connection, I guess Ware , though they are not the same class etc. Quote

Hell Z even guarded the taller players on the other end. If you are actually trying to distinguish a position difference between Z+Rob when they're on the court together (which is dumb) it's pretty clear Rob was the 2 and Z the 3. JBJ was the 3 when it was--- RJ, Yogi, and Blackmon. Johnson literally started at the 2... I mentioned who the 3s were on that team. "RJ was a ball handlers" literally means nothing. Troy Williams was a primary ball handler and he was the 4. RJ normally just guarded whoever the better player was on the other team, whether it was their 2 or 3. And saying Zeisloft was the 3 doesn't break what was said. He was 6-4. He was a guard. And RJ did play that 3 spot. JBJ was the 2. Everyone knows that. And it wasn't the only time. RJ was the 3 man his Senior year too for some time. Really depended. We had quite a few guys get starts that season. Opening day though Archie trotted out Newkirk, Green and RJ. Playing the 3 like he did his freshman and Sophomore and Junior year. The "3" was his spot. Who he played defense on didn't define his position because it was always the better player to keep JBJ off that guy. rcbowla and IUsafety 2 Quote
