Shedrick was a top target since they had a connection and everyone was waiting for him to enter. Ware enters portal and quickly becomes a top target in portal nationally. IU (Ya did a tremendous job making a connection) gets foot in the door and ultimately landed him and were able to move on from Shedrick. Ledlum has always been a top target for IU. You could make the case he was their number 1 target overall. Fans might have questions about his fit but staff have clearly made him a top priority. I’ll be interested to see who is better next year between Shedrick and Ware. This might be a Ware has a higher ceiling but Shedrick has a higher floor situation. Shedrick played more at a better program but has his own issues with going in and out of the lineup. I watched a little of Virginia and thought he was a nice player. I watched zero of Oregon. Both national guys and our staff seem to be really high on Ware. I’m assuming it’s because of the unrealized NBA-type potential. But I suspect Shedrick might have a nice season next year, as well. Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 What's going on at Arizona State? They give Hurley an extension(for whatever reason) and 8 dudes hit the portal. NVFalcons1990 1 Quote

ElectricBoogaloo Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Is cheating even a thing with NIL now? NIL is great for IU. Recruits can give coaches a number and they can meet that number within the rules. Isn't that basically how it goes? Alford Bailey, bigrod, thebigweave and 3 others 6 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Lots of hand wringing about the craziness of the transfer portal in cbb right now. I’m gonna bet a rule change is coming at some point Tom White 1 Quote

Contacting recruits outside of set periods maybe? It can't be cash. If a booster is going to contribute cash for a recruit it might as well be through NIL, right? Maybe payments or benefits for family? Quote

I can't think of any others off the top of my head, maybe a few that are doing massive roster rebuilds. J34 and Ngw7183 1 1 Quote
Silat Player Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 LSU, Houston, Michigan, Mizzou, Cal, Providence, Nebraska have all had 2 or more commits. I'm sure there are more than that. A lot of teams have already had 2 or more committed portal guys. There has been a lot of movement. Quote
