I'm still a bit sour about all of it.

We've got tons of work to do to make ourselves relevant.  I'm not convinced its going to happen.  Let's see how this money spends..

Sparks is a feelgood story that might workout great.  I mean, what can you really expect if you are recruiting a transfer big that's likely slotted into the backup spot to begin with with a chance to earn more.  So it makes sense.  Good for him, good for us.

BUT we need so much to be something more than and hope and a dream.

Some of these transfer options are just bleh.  Was really hoping the staff had 2 or 3 aces up their sleeve but it's looking more like that isn't the case.

I feel pretty good about Shedrick for some reason.

But in general if you take a middling bench, with middling recruits, and middling transfers you are likely to expect middling results.

OK let's pump some sunshine so Dr. Grump can turn his frown upside down.  LOL

This is why I like you Wayne, you drink the same beer as me and we’re both seeing the same bleh girl at the corner of the bar.

Love is a shot chucker but a very talented player.  With the right coaching he could be as good as any college guard in the country.

He may be what we need….I feel like we have people who are to reluctant to shoot at times…he’s also a guy you can say, “ hey go get me a bucket” and he can do that….I’d be on board, but I understand he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. I just think Woody is the type of coach than can harness him for the good.

Oh man....Caleb Love? Really? I already made it clear I don't want him at IU, so for the many have mentioned something along the lines of "he just needs a firm hand to really shine" What is the rationale for that? Coping mechanism or is there evidence? Talk me into not HATING this potential development. He's the definition of a volume shooter- a poor one.

His career stats:

Isn't that their point? A firm hand would help reel him in. CMW has handled personalities/players traits much worse than Love's.

Maybe it would work, maybe not, but copying and pasting his season averages isn't much of an argument either way.

Plus defender who would likely be placed every game on thd opponent’s best guard.  Yes, he has been a volume shooter who has not shot well…but there is a reason that Roy Williams started him as a freshman.

After 3 seasons in the ACC, his stats aren't relevant? Then why not keep Bates and just coach him up? My argument is 'he's not that great' so if he has an attitude problem to deal with too- the payoff won't be that great even if he does buy in. Is your 'argument' the power of positive thinking and hoping for the best?

Love would be arguably the most talented guy on the roster and to me is a perfect transfer candidate needing new scenery and a coach like Woody.

Ok, I'll let it go for now, clearly I'm on a tangent and swimming up-stream on this subject. I see Love as Devonte Green with a quicker first-step and a worse attitude. If that somehow equates to making IU a better basketball team, then terrific, but I'm extrememly skeptical. I prefer he take his journey of self-discovery (and his 35% FG shooting) somewhere/anywhere else.
