I believe still trying to get a visit. If we could get him on campus yesterday or today it would have been perfect. Took my 17-year-old to campus yesterday and there were lots of girls out in their "summer attire" and he was drooling. Plus he saw the hyper for the first time and all of the basketball courts. He said sign me up today.

Hoping your son is a lottery pick in 2 years

Don't know the answer to your question.  Since Ware has signed with IU, the first thing that would have to happen is we release him from his Letter of Intent.  We could be pricks and refuse but we know that wouldn't happen.  To me the question  would be if having signed with IU did he lose his immediate eligibility to go play for someone else without a specific NCAA waiver.

I don’t believe transfers sign the NLI. I *think* that’s only for yet-to-be student athletes, so by that logic technically everyone is a free agent until they actually enroll.

*could be wrong, would not be the first time but don’t tell my wife

When I was about 14 my older brother, who was married, told me that sun glasses were “neck savers”

I don’t see out of 1 eye so it’s virtually impossible for people to tell where I am looking.  I may not have depth perception but this has almost certainly saved me from being murdered

Ya'll pic on that court, I get it. I think it would be a HUGE distraction playing on it. BUT, they were going for the OMG WOW marketing factor to young look at me players and fans. For that it's a huge smashing hit.

Hard to consider it a success in terms of 'look at me' when people by and large are ignoring the venue.  Altman blasted the attendance at Oregon in the NIT (just over 3,000), but that occurred all year.  Average attendance for Oregon home games last year was under 6,000 -- about 48% capacity.  In fact, Oregon has not had a sell out in over 5 years.

What do teams call themselves nowadays?  All the musical chair transfers.  For example Indiana Hoosiers?  Thus far…Are they Hoosiers Ducks Cardinals or Cardinals Ducks Hoosiers or Ducks Hoosiers Cardinals??? Very confusing what sex or I mean what teams fans actually cheer for like professional sports….

I mean Scott May, Quinn Buckner, Kent Benson, Steve Green, Steve Alford, Mike Woodson, Randy Wittman, Slick Leonard, are just a few off the top of my head in about 30 seconds among many others….I knew exactly the team as well as other fans regarding there teams…. I was cheering for and still are remembered….Those were the days.

I don’t find it at all confusing.

One thing in this world that’s assured? That things will change.

I believe IU calls themselves the Indiana Hoosiers.....the same as they did in 1987 when two starters started their careers at junior colleges.

That was the way junior colleges always worked... two. year colleges, and after 2 years, the player would (try) to. migrate into a 4-year school.

This whole transfer portal and NIL have turned college sports into the wild, Wild West with what amounts to "free agency"". Personally, I am NOT a fan, but it is what it is... and Woody either goes along with it or gets left in the dust.

With that said, IMO, it's ruining college (read "amateur") athletics...

A. J. Storr to Wisky

Storr shunning being a centerpiece for St. John's under Pitino for Greg Gard at Wisconsin?  Interesting.

I think he’s pretty good but this is a strange fit to me. He’s from Rockford, IL, so this is close to home, but if that was the primary factor I’m surprised it wasn’t U of I, Marquette, a Chicago area school….

I'm so confused about this whole portal process. I thought there were specific times when kids could sign letter of intents. Is that different for kids in the portal. I may be too old to keep up with this stuff.

Sorry, missed the quote tweet. Deloach. Someone said he wouldn’t want to play backup but I was told that is not 100% true. Will see if that adds up but found it even more plausible when he didn’t just outright cancel but moved his visit.

He better get to practicing his shooting.
