RaeQuan Battle(Montana State)- 6-5, 190. Averaged 17.7ppg, 2.9 rpg, 35.3% 3pt on 4.3 attempts, 83.3% FT on 4.1 attempts. Explosive athlete.

Zach Hicks(Temple)- 6-7, 185. Averaged 9.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 35.6% 3pt on 7.0 attempts. Really nice looking shot and consistent.

Myron Gardner(Little Rock)- 6-6, 222. Averaged 13.2ppg, 9.1rpg, 3.6apg, 35.6% 3pt on 3.5 attempts, 75.5% FT on 3.5 attempts.

Philmon Gebrewhit(DePaul)- 6-7, 185. Averaged 5.8 points, 2.1rpg, 37.2% 3pt on 3.0 attempts (27% year before on 2.8 attempts). Reminds me a little of CJ Gunn. Very energetic jumpshot.

Sean Conway(VMI)- 6-5, 215. Averaged 12.1ppg, 4.9rpg, 37.8% 3pt on 5.7 attempts. He'd be your Andrew Funk or even what we had in Zeisloft maybe.

That's just some optimistic Loaded Chicken Sandwich with a slice of optimism on it.

Add Tre White of USC to that list.  Hit the portal today.  Freshman last year, 9.0 ppg, 5.1 reb.  Only shot 27% from three but no reason to believe that won't improve.  Top 50 recruit.

college coaches in every sport would laugh at your statement. Is is 100%… no. But he was heavy IU and that was one of many indicators. They lost him at the end and I am not sure they even know why. That would concern me more.

But they were in a much better place than what Archie left for Woody. We only had like TJD, Race, and a few others.

Where is the cliff? We lost Ludlum. That is one. We never really pursued Love after the initial call. Not everyone we contacted was offered. I'm not saying it's all roses, but man some of you guys need to relax. Yes we need some good transfers or late deciding HS players but I'm not going to worry about it, 2 and a half weeks into portaling. If it continues well into May, I'll be Wiley E Coyote right along with you.

The Love statement isn’t true. We tried, he didn’t reciprocate. Same for Knecht right now. I get it, you can’t get everyone you want.

Ware makes perfect sense. So does Sparks. Both still have big question marks though.

It’s not who we’ve missed that bothers me, it’s the lack of cache we have in recruiting and how tough it is for our staff to identify targets with mutual interest and finish.

Bright side- we only really need to fill 2 more spots. Somewhere, somehow we can still get good players. And I personally didn’t even care for Ledlum but Eric from HHs who is a legitimate inside source, really painted a picture tonight.

Let me first say that overall I think our fan base is a big asset to the program. Saying that I also think we can be a huge detriment to it as well. We keep trying to come up with all of these excuses to why we haven't been successful the last 25 years. I think one reason is the fans and how we try to get in the way when it comes to recruiting. Someone brought up Hoosier Hysterics but I think their actions get in the way of recruiting because some players might not like getting hit up on social media by creepy older guys.

In the last 25 years we have had 6 coaches, 4 AD's and 4 presidents but the one constant is the fan base. I think the actions of some of our fan base has hurt the program when it comes to recruiting. Just this year we had an idiot fan write TJD a letter criticizing him. You see one of the all time players in zIU history getting ripped it might make you second guess about coming to IU

The outlier is on July 2nd but on April 20th it is the norm.  We have two portal players signed so it isn't like we have whiffed so far.
