DChoosier Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Although I have picked IU to win all three games, in our prediction thread, there is no way that I looked at our schedule and really thought we would be 3-0 with wins over PSU and UM. So glad to be wrong and in my decades of watching IU I don’t remember more than maybe a team or 2, during the Mallory years, that looked like they “belonged” with the better teams (sans OSU) like this team does. We scared OSU and UM in the Wilson years but those were teams with Swiss cheese defenses that had to out score people and hope for some fluke plays. We have a complete team now. Can’t wait for next week. HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Incredible! Love it. Makes for a wonderful Saturday afternoon. These guys need to keep their edge. That extra pushes them over the top. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

rcbowla Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Awesome win! Not to downplay the win or to be negative but as I watch Maryland/PSU I'm starting to question just how good the competition has been so far. Outside of OSU I really don't know what to make of the B1G this year. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk DChoosier 1 Quote

True. Also this year just kind of feels different. Like in year past when we got punched in the mouth by Michigan or Penn State I would hope they would respond well. Right now I expect them to respond well cthomas 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Also kudos to the national medias coverage of us so far. It would be so easy for them to act like our success is a huge outlier and shocking. For the most part they have just talked up the program and CTA. While also celebrating it HoosierAloha, mdn82, HoosierDYT and 1 other 4 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Before the season started, I looked at our schedule and said if we went 4-4 that I'd call it a success. Pretty cool to be 3-0. thebigweave 1 Quote

Naturalhoosier Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Don’t look now but we are 3 and 0!!!!!!!!! This ain’t your childhood IU team!! Other IU teams would have folded like a house of cards early on. These guys have heart!!! It certainly wasn’t perfect, but I will relish in what appears to be the best IUFB team I’ve seen in my 30 years of watching IUFB. thebigweave, cthomas, mdn82 and 1 other 4 Quote

Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk Worth mentioning, though that Rutgers did beat Michigan State and Michigan beat Minnesota pretty bad. Michigan might be a middling Big 10 team this year, but being 17 points better than a middling team is nothing to sneeze at. Quote
DChoosier Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 The odds that JH is out at Michigan after this season? I would guess 90%. Quote

His contract is over at the end of the 2021 regular season. Football coaches usually are fired or extended before the last year of a deal begins. Quote

He seems to know it is over but quitting would be giving up over 8mm next year.....doubt he does that. Quote

I'm in NY and some talk radio guys here are pondering if Jim goes back to the NFL with the likes of the Jets, Falcons, Texans, and likely a couple other jobs open. Quote
